SPACE SHUTTLE COLUMBIA

WHEN & WHERE WAS IT LAUNCHED Space shuttle Columbia was launched (January 16,2003) the disaster (April
12,1981) first launch. It was launched at the Kennedy Space
Center in Florida.
THE CREW MEMBERS Rick Husband, William McCool, Michael
Anderson, David Brown, Kalpana Chawla, Lauren Clark & Ilan Raman.
OUTCOME The outcome was that the mission failed
and Columbia shuttle crashed in 73 seconds.
PURPOSE OF THE MISSION They where going to get information
from space.
INTERESTING FACTS Ilan Ramon was the first Islam in space. The temperature and pressure gauges
went off scale and made the shuttle crash.
The first launch was April 12, 1981 It has had 28 flights. 7 astronauts were killed during the
disaster. There was hills named after the crew
