IntroductionToday we will tell about Bald Eagles. Bald Eagles are birds of prey. That means they are meat eaters.
Bodyswimmers The Body Did you know that Bald
Eagles are good swimmers?! Well their talons can’t hold all fish. They swim to shore with the fish and tear apart their food. The have brown and white feathers . They have a curved beak and hollow bones. The hollow bones help them fly.
Eggs and BabiesBald Eagles lay one
to three eggs .Their babies are called eaglets. When eaglets are several weeks old they can move around in the nest. When Bald Eagles babies are just eggs they hatch about five weeks later.
FoodBald Eagles eat
rabbits, squirrels and fish. Their favorite food is fish. If its prey is too heavy they dive down to the water and grab the fish then spear it.
HabitatDo you know that BaldEagles live on every
continent but Antarctica? They use talons to make their nests to live in.
