To Make the NecklaceThread 1A into the centre of the thread.
Take both ends of the thread through the large heart (B) bead from
the bottom to the top. The A bead will act as a stopper underneath
the heart. Thread 1A over both threads. Now separate the two
threads and work on one side at a time. Onto one side **thread 1C,
1D, 1A, 1C. Make a knot in the thread and bring it down to sit
close to the 1C just added. Leave 45mm of thread exposed and tie
another overhand knot in the thread. Thread on 1A, 1D, 1A. Knot the
thread close to the A bead just added. Leave 90mm of thread exposed
and tie another overhand knot in the thread. Thread on 1E. Knot the
thread at the other side of the E bead. Leave 60mm of thread
exposed. Tie an overhand knot. Thread on 1D, 1A, 1D. Tie an
overhand knot. Leave 45mm of thread exposed and tie another knot.
Thread on 1D, 1C. Tie a knot in the thread. Tie another knot in the
thread 45mm from this one.Repeat from ** on the other side of the
thread.Cross the two threads over inside the remaining E Beadand
knot them off, trimming the ends to complete.

To Make the BraceletThe bracelet is made on four threads. Two
run through the centre of the beads and the other two run over the
surfaces, with all four meeting in-between the beads to make a
series of feature square knots - it is the same technique as used
to make Shambala bracelets.Cut 50cm of thread and put aside for the
sliding clasp. Cut 1m of thread for the core. The remaining 1.5m
will make the knots around the core.Fold the 1m piece in half, at
the folded end use a fine piece of wire as a needle and thread the
beads onto the thread in the following sequence:-A, B, C, A, C, D,
A, C, E, C, A, D, C, A, C, B, A.Following the instruction in step 2
of the Macrame Bracelets instructions that you can download from
the Techniques page of the website, leave 12cm of the folded thread
exposed and create a series of 5 square knots.Work down the length
of the bracelet, following the instructions on the Macrame Bracelet
instruction sheet but making just one square knot between each
bead. Finish the length with a series of 5 square knots. Thread one
of the core threads through the bird bead.Now follow step 7 of the
macrame instruction to make the clasp and complete the
bracelet.
