AIRPLANE MECHANICBy Jared Cornell
Day of a Airplane Mechanic
You either got a normal 8am-4pm job or you got a 5-5 job
Everything varies where and who you work for
You can work up north where your working 12 hour days, with overtime you could work for like 13 or 14 hour days
Why am I Interested
I am interested in airplane/helicopter mechanics because it would be pretty cool to work on big machines like planes and helicopters
I also get to learn about the mechanics and the physics about flying and planes and that would be cool and I get to use my hands a lot too
Education
Grade 11 English Grade 11 Math Applications or Principles Grade 11 Science Physics I also have to get 77% in all my classes
Salary/Future Outlook
The salary for a airplane/helicopter mechanic can range from 60-110 thousand dollars a year
The future outlook for planes is that there will always be jobs for it but its not a huge trade that everyone can get into because it’s limited
Working Conditions
The working conditions is in a shop environment so it wouldnt be cold and if I had to go outside I would just suck it up and go do the job I got to do.
I would be working with a group of guys in the same shop unless I was working by myself and have my own business.
