Introduction

o a combustible black or dark brown rock consisting mainly of carbonized plant.

oCoal is a type of fossil fuel which is what we put in cars.

What is Coal

o You first mine it out of the ground.

o Then you burn it to make electricity.

o Or it can be burned to make heat or to cook.

How is it harnessed?

o Makes more energy than any other way combined.

oHelped make 2.4 million metric tons of steel.

o Powers 10 times the population of the us.

Benefits

o Coal miners can die just from a small spark in the mines

o Burning coal also does not help our environment.

o It increases the change of global warming.

Disadvantages

o The U.S. by consistant over the years others has used more.
