President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi is the current leader of Yemen. He was brought to power after President Saleh quit. President Hadi was in an election with no opponent and began in February 2012 for a 2-year term. He currently is struggling to get rid of poverty and hunger, an Al-Qaeda terrorist group, a secessionist movement in the south, and Zaidi Shia rebels in the north. The process to draft a new constitution and to hold a democratic election happened in February 2012.
