Amberley Jeram, 15, from Bognor Regis, was presented with £100 last week after scooping first prize in the 11-18 age category for designing a dress made entirely from used crisp packets. Amberley won over the judges with her startling creation after sending in photos of herself modelling the recycled outfit. Councillor Paul Wotherspoon, Cabinet Member for the Environment and a member of the judging panel, said: “We had some really high quality entries, but Amberley’s dress was really the stand-out piece. The response has been really positive and hopefully we have helped demonstrate that recycling can be more than just putting your waste in the right bin.” Amberley, who is in Year 10 at Chichester High School for Girls, said she was delighted to have won the competition and that she would be giving some of her money to charity.
