THE BUZZ 000 www.femalemag.com.my TEXT RACHEL LAW PHOTOGRAPHY MITSUBISHI MOTORS Soul mate The Mitsubishi Mirage is a perfect excuse for not needing big rocks (or in this case, wheels) to be happy. Although compact, (a mighty adorable one at that!), it is surprisingly roomy inside with the exception of a tiny boot space but heck, we’re not going for golf anytime soon. Mitsubishi takes pride in the Mirage’s ‘unrivalled’ fuel efficiency of 21 kilometres per litre so we challenged it on the highway to see if it drives as economically outside its urban element – and it delivered an impressive 18.5km/litre. Baby Mirage (Oh dear, we named it!) doesn’t fancy hiking and aggressive sprinting but its 1.2-litre engine is fit for silent, average cruising in the city. Petite it may be but the Mirage spoils you with little luxuries such as the push-start button, keyless entry and digital climate control – features commonly found in cars in the pricier range. We were pleased with the 2-din audio system, which sounds amazing, and especially amused by its LED colour options, which you should totally play with. If it takes the form of a lover, the Mirage is a cute, down-to-earth, practical boyfriend, who takes care of the essentials and pampers you now and then! MITSUBISHI MIRAGE, RM55,328 ONWARD KICK BACK AND RELAX, THERE'S ENOUGH ROOM IN HERE. MORE SPACIOUS THAN IT LOOKS! LETS YOU TAKE CONTROL WITHOUT A FUSS.
