Hello An}

12/21/9

Si nee our co nfe renee ca 11 , several people have ex p res:sed i nte rest i n sub mi tti ng 1 dea:s for the agenda for the .January meeting. So by way of soHciti ng 'JOUr ideas .. i am sending my ideas that I derived from our calL Please respond} your input is valuable . Agenda ideas can be faxed to Tom Blount in Atlanta .. preferably by the flrst week of January _. at 404/233-5613. I also suggested that _. if you ha .. /e specific proposals or approaches to dealing \ ... ·Hh these issues .1 that you \.Jrite them up and distr1 bute them to the attendees well before the meeting to allow time for thoughtful consideration. The plan is to start the meeting on Saturday around noon and finish up on Sunday in the late afternoon.

I ~ee thi~ a:S an oppot-tunity to find out \VtJere we agree and where we disagree and where we can ··1ork: together. I don't think anyone has any del u:sion:s about mak· ng other c1 ubs do anythi ng. But if \r/e can eoordi nate our efforts in areas that \r/e agree on.~ then "vte can ttopefu11 y improve our ·:services to our cllents .~gain more credibility and deal \·lith the FDA more effectively.

Thanks ..

Richard Copeland

Lewin:

This is the draft that we discussed. Whaddya think? We still need to work out: who takes minutes (I think Tom's a great idea), the schedule, etc.

Any topics I left out? Are there people out there who'd make good chairs that I overlooked? Do you have a final list of who's coming? What do you think of the format? Any other ideas?

As I mentioned, I'll be in my office tomorrow from 10:00 to 2:30 (EST), so we should try to talk during that time.
