HOW IT ALL BEGANI co-founded Add Value 2 Life Consulting with my wife, Noelle. We have always wanted a way to help people together. In our first adventure, we served as missionaries in Bogota, Colombia for ten years. We did many great things together, but our work went two different directions. We returned to Colorado and I was the Missions Pastor, coaching mission partners, travelling and training all over the world, while Noelle was the Director of Communications. Noelle is now a training supervisor for the State of Colorado, Department of Revenue, training teams across the state, allowing me to be the lead trainer in our company. We are building the business together, so we can work together and serve our community, helping people be more, do more and have more.

We primarily serve entrepreneurs and business owners seeking to grow themselves and their businesses. We have created a group coaching program that makes business coaching affordable. Each member builds their own strategic plan and is accountable to the group. The groups create a safe environment where they can be vulnerable and share their struggles, which in turn creates a great sounding board for new ideas. We focus on personal growth that leads to business growth. Helping our clients become the people capable of living their dreams.

• Conflicting and confusing information from all of the free resources from different coaches and experts - each time you search Google for help you find more and more options and experts that will solve all of your problems. Then it fills your facebook feed with ads and more. Choose one or two voices to follow and read their blog or listen to their podcast but don’t get overwhelmed searching for solutions

• Getting frustrated about not being able to pinpoint what is holding you back - this means you are at least aware that things aren’t where you want them to be. It is true you don’t know exactly how to fix it but the more you learn about yourself the clearer it will become.

• Apprehensive about spending more money on yourself or your business - I absolutely know how easy it is to spend thousands of dollars on marketing and coaching, all promising to get you to six figures faster. This is challenging, the investment in yourself will be small when you experience breakthrough. You will grow your abundance mindset and learn that you need to give in order to get.

• Your energy is influenced by what your current situation is - We are programmed to believe that our conditions and circumstances are a reflection of what we are capable of, but the exact opposite is true. WATCH OUT FOR -

• Getting distracted by social media - Yes, social media may be an important piece of building your network and growing your business, but it can also be extremely distracting and damaging to your mindset. It is easy to get addicted! Be very careful about what voices you allow in your head.

• Spending time chasing SOS (Shiny Object Syndrome) - There are a lot of solutions available out there and most are willing to say they solve your problem, but many are shiny objects that will sit on your shelf and collect dust. FOCUS on one class or program.

• Believing the lie that the only way to make money is to work hard - As you grow your business you will know that this is a lie and you will quit exchanging time for money.

• Wanting to RUSH this stage. This is a great stage to be in, you are getting results and feel ready for the next level. A lot of solid, foundational work happens here, savor the growth and the seeds you are sowing.

NEXT STEPS TO EVOLVE - • Developing your story - This is the time to tell your story. Your story will identify with your

audience and will be why they want to connect with you.• Marketing Plan - You should be building your network, whether online or in person you need

a plan to build your audience and engage them regularly.• Embrace Accountability - You want to set goals with the knowledge that you need to grow to

make them happen and that growth happens when you are accountable to yourself.• Serve your community - You are growing an audience and serving them is a passion, providing

value and helping them grow.• Listen to podcasts or read blogs - find the business voices that resonate with you, pick one or

two.• Invest in yourself - Be willing to get coaching, participate in masterminds and other activities

At this stage, get clear on your core values. Align your systems and processes with those values. You will feel an urge to apply your business skills to anything and everything as they are all opportunities to earn income. Rein in the chaos and focus on what you want to grow. Learning to say no to good opportunities that don’t align with your values and energy will allow you to do what is better.

What do you want to be known for? Be Specific. In business who you are is more important than what you do and what you have. Let it come from your heart. The sooner you clarify your vision of who you are, when you have what you want to achieve, you will find yourself and your business moving toward that vision.

Automate Mindset


WATCH OUT FOR - • Growing pains. It is worth the discomfort because beyond this stage lies a new level of

skills and growth in your personal and professional life. Stepping out of your comfort zone will become a new normal.

• Feeling like an imposter - Yes, I hear you loud and clear. I myself have been there many times. You might hear an inner voice ask, “Am I really good or is it just luck?” “There are other people who know more than me, so why would anyone listen to me?” ”Others have already said it or done it, so what’s the point of me doing it?”

• Please know that these thoughts are not true. Your audience shows up for you and they want to hear from you so don’t stop saying or doing something because of this negative voice. We are all unique and can have an impact for others.

• Thinking that the market is too saturated. - There is no entrepreneur that is like you. Let me say that again for the people in the back - there is no other entrepreneur like you. There is room in this world for your work. The creative mind doesn’t have a fear of competition.

• Spinning in confusion about where to head from here - from this point you are seeing a dozen different directions to grow in but you are unsure of which path to choose.

• Feeling lonely - With your steadfast dedication, you have reached a new level of success that your friends and family might not understand. It is crucial to find a community of like minded people who are at the same level who will ultimately understand your highs and lows.

• Burnout - Sustainability is absolutely essential at this stage. With the growing demands of your flourishing business, if you don’t rest you will most certainly burnout. Please guard your creative energy in the thrill of building your business, you should be planning to scale and to outsource the drudgery.

• Perfectionism - This is one of the hardest things to fight, but the earlier you learn how to silence it, the sooner you will find harmony. This is a factor for burnout and an excuse to procrastinate, neither of which are healthy for a growing business.

• Resenting your business - This happens as a result of burnout and sometimes continued failures. What started as a dream and an idea to change the world becomes your master and takes over your life. You need a community to keep you in harmony and strike the right balance of work and play to avoid being enslaved to your business.



• Invest in conferences and masterminds with business leaders in your field or in leadership. You will grow your ability and your work and business will grow.

• Refine and perfect your creative habits. Make a schedule that provides time for meditation and for thinking and problem solving.

• Refine your brand to reflect your core values.• Be fearless and expand your business goals. Visualize the person you want

to be. Intentionally surround yourself with like minded people whose energy empowers you. Avoid distractions.

• Challenge your beliefs and eliminate those limiting beliefs - about you - your business - your money.

• Expand your business through outsourcing or hiring. • Focus on the 10% that produces 90% of your revenue.
