    Dear Student, Business/Academic Leader:

RE: BUSINESS AND STUDY TOUR TO CHINA

I am pleased to invite you to participate in an upcoming Business & Study Tour to China, being organized by the

University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech) and Sias University in China, for three weeks during the month of July 2014.

The Tour was initiated during UTechs participation in the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP)meeting in Beijing in September 2013. This meeting brought together key executives in higher education and also

highlighted unique opportunities for the development of partnerships between Jamaica and China.

In recognition of the tremendous potential for expanding Jamaica/China relationship, the Tour is being arranged to

provide participants with the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of China and its business, educational and cultural

environments. Participants will be offered courses in Chinese Language, Culture, history, and in doing business in China.

The Tour will comprise business persons, academics and university students. The programme will also include the tour of

major cities of China, such as Beijing, Henan, Xi'an and Shanghai. Meetings and networking events will be arranged

based on your business interests and may include one-on-one meetings with comparable Chinese business leaders.

It is estimated that the overall cost of the tour would be approximately USD4900, depending on the cities visited and thebusiness/networking meetings arranged. This will be confirmed early 2014. The cost will include airfare, domestic

transportation, study at SIAS, dorm at international student dorm hall, excursions transportation,

    accommodation, admission fee and meals.

Please indicate your interest in participating, on or before January 31, 2014, by completing the attached Registration

Form and indicating the area/s of interest for each interested person.
