Plan on Design Development
1. Design planning and data collection
Collect the data of overseas trends (through Internet and seminars held by consulting
companies) and investigate the market (department stores, road shops, wholesalers) to
get samples suitable for the trends
2. Design idea
Have design idea conferences based on the collected data, select designs for jacquard
and DTP print by the person in charge, and draft the designs
3. Warp & weft
In the case of jacquard design, the thickness, the characteristics, and the density of
warp and weft are determined, and the warp beam work is performed. In this process,
the characteristics of fabrics are determined.
4. Design drawing
Based on the drafted designs, each person in charge draws jacquard and print
designs. Drawing is done with hands first, scanned, and then, done on CAD.
5. Design CAD
The scanned drawings go through EAT design CAD program, and prints go through
illustration and photo shop. Once CAD work is completed, color-matching is done on
2D and weft B/T is progressed.
6. Weave input
With 2D CAD work, jacquard weave is input. Weave is to make numerous texture
feelings through the intersecting point of warp and weft. Through this process, a loom
receives a sign and makes a fabric.
7. 2D Simulation
Once weave is input, virtual simulation is performed with the outcome. This step is
performed prior to weaving with a machine on a jobsite. That is, only with the result that
is expressed in white and black, weave status is checked on the graphic status.
8. Primary sampling work
With the file put into a machine, primary test weaving is performed. This step is to
check the things which are not checked through density and simulation. Correction and
complementation are made.
9. Secondary sampling work
With the finally corrected file, secondary test is conducted. In this step, color ways are
made with various wefts. At this time, print designs are made into samples through
DTP.
10. Post processing / Fair
Jacquard color-way and print samples go through post processing test. With the finally
processed outcome, a small group has a product fair.

GENERAL CURTAIN
We, Daechung Textile, produce various kinds (rapier jacquard, plain, and dobby) of curtain fabrics (both external and
internal purpose) in the sizes of 60“ ~ 117”, using various materials of polyester, cotton, poly design yarn, and metallic.
Daechung develops its own design suitably for the market preference and consumers' tastes which are differentiated
from the existing curtain designs, and this development is favorably evaluated by consumers who want to make their space
special.
In general, a curtain blocks the light from inside and outside so it has the shading effect of preventing any damage by
lights. In addition, it blocks the circulation of air from outside when cooling or heating a room, so its insulation effect is
great and accordingly, the cost for cooling and heating can be reduced. In addition, it has an effect of soundproof that
reduces the noises from living, transportation, and airplanes. Besides those practical purposes, it is an important factor for
interior decoration (making the hard feeling of a wall or a glass soft or mixing colors). As the housing style becomes
westernized, a curtain becomes one of important living necessaries.
BLACKOUT CURTAIN
Blackout curtain is made of functional polyester which uses black spundyed yarns to increase the shading effect. It is
easy to wash at home, and it can make the colors or the styles that feel refined. Like general curtains, blackout curtain
may need blackout or printing-resistant treatment. Daechung's blackout curtain uses general post printing-resistant treatment
or flame-retardant yarns.
It is used for shading or blackout in conference rooms, training centers, hotels, vessels, and government and public offices.
It is also used as a roll blind or a screen. It is excellent at blocking visible rays, ultraviolet rays, heat, and noises. In Japan,
it is used at home a lot. Blackout curtain is a multi-functional curtain made of luxurious blackout fabrics, which has the
effects of blocking the sunlight, coldness, and wind, together with high density. It is also effective for blocking car noises.
In addition, it can prevent privacy from being exposed outside and further, it can make the atmosphere of a cinema for
enjoying TV or home theater. Delicate details can make interior effects too.
FLAME-RETARDANT CURTAIN
Nonflammable fabrics using Firex (flame retardant) don't exhaust poisonous gas like highly carcinogenic dioxin when a fire
breaks out. Compared with post printing-resistant products, they can maintain printing-resistancef well. The existing fabrics can
accelerate a fire, but Daechung Textile's nonflammable fabrics suppress the spread of a fire because they use flame-retardant
yarns. Most of the existing flame-retardant products are
post-treated so the feelings of colors and touches go down and the smell of a chemical is strong because of post treatment.
However, the feeling of uneasiness of a fire or the strengthened Fire Services Act increases the demand of nonflammable fabrics.
Daechung Textile's flame-retardant curtain is made of impurity-free flame- retardant yarns so unlike general printing-resistant
treatment, each ply of yarns is treated with flame-retardant processing before making a fabric so it doesn't burn in a fire. It is
made with special technical treatment.
Strong flame-retardation is given to the yarn made of a natural material so it is environment-friendly, harmless to the human body,
and used a lot in advanced countries. In addition, the materials and patterns are various so when printing-resistant coating is
provided, decoloration or deformation of the curtain is prevented.
Flame-retardant curtain delays the risk of a fire so it is essentially necessary for child care centers, general lodgings, and hospitals.
It is mostly used for lodgings, business centers, public railroads, and subways. It is also available on the interior walls of cinemas,
churches, and performance halls.
JACQUARD
Jacquard is the name of the person who developed a loom to put a pattern into a fabric without patterns by use of a dobby device.
Jacquard can express a pattern with the weave of a fabric itself so it feels grave and deep. Jacquard fabric is that yarns are plaited
to make a pattern. It is thick so it feels heavy. It is not lengthened like cotton and it feels calm so it is more luxurious. The shape is
stable and the special features of cotton - natural and comfortable - can be felt. Jacquard will become a good material for the
expression of one's personality, not only for bedding, curtains, and small items.
Jacquard of Daechung Textile can make maximum 100-inch designs after the introduction of Belgium Bonas electronic jacquard 12000
Hook in 2008 (only 2~3 local companies have this machine). Electronic jacquard loom, which is rare in Korea, has higher density than
general jacquard looms, so it is good for making delicate and precise luxurious jacquard
A template is used and partial dyeing makes a pattern. On a raw fabric, a pattern is dyed by use of a screen plate,
which is steamed with high heat to be attached to the fabric. After a raw fabric is woven, a pattern or a color is printed
on it so by washing, the print can be weak, but because of the prints, various patterns of print bedding can be made.
