1.H istory of car racing in Pakistan.In 25 September 2005 Pakistan was first time participated in motor sport grand prix in England.

LAHORE: Pakistan was participated in the A1 Grand Prix that was in England in September 2005.

Pakistan-born Nur Ali, a professional driver settled in United State of America, would represent A1

Team Pakistan along with other countries in the mega motor sports event, which is the most

prestigious motor race in the world. He said he got the necessary experience of participating in the

car rally in the world. "I am a professional driver and settled in USA for the last so many years. I have

been taking part in motor race and is the champion of winning South West Regional car Rally in USA

in 2001 and 2002,An elegant car will be unveiled at Lahore Fort on February 27 to take part in the

Grand Prix. President Musharraf will be the chief guest of the launching ceremony to unveil

Pakistan's own A1 racing car, in its national colors.

2005 to 2012:

From 2005 to 2012 Pakistan only first time participated in motor sports and Pakistan defeat

that race. It is just because of there is no professional racing track in all over Pakistan so the

drivers did not does practice. In Pakistan there is a lot of talent, young generation like racing.

In Pakistan there is no professional racing track. Only small track is located in Islamabad.

That track is not professional. Its a small track.

Young generation do races on normal roads and that become very dangerous for general

public and drivers as well. Almost 98% accidents are just because of car racing in Pakistan.

We want to show these accidents on some videos.

2.IntroductionPakistan is in the grip of serious crises like war against terror, power shortage, unemployment

corruption and political instability etc, that affecting all sector of economy and the various

sectors of the society because of which frustration goes up. The country is plunging deeper

and deeper into the crises. Sport activities like cricket, hockey, football, snooker, and many

more games may help to reduce frustration, but sport activities are also very less in amount

only cricket, hockey, Tanis and few athletics which Pakistan play in international level. and if

we talk about auto racing which one the international well known sport but in Pakistan here is

not even a single auto racing track exists. There is a small track located in back side of Rawal

Lack View point Islamabad but that track is very small. This track is not for professionals

drivers or not for international racing. This is just a small track for general public. They pay

some money and drive a small car on track. This track is just for fun to general public.

2.1 Location

We have decided that we will give the comprehensive plan for making motor racing tracks in

Pakistan. Motor racing tracks which have to make will be located near the lokvirsa caf that

is situated in the Islamabad capital territory of Pakistan .The total area of Islamabad is 9.6

sq.km (349.81 sq mi). Located on the north east of Rawalpindi, Islamabad nestles against the

periphery of the Potohar plateau, Margalla Hills and man made lakes. It offers an excellent

pollution free climate and greenery all over. It is a modern and carefully planned city with

tree-lined roads and streets, large houses, elegant public buildings and well-organized

residential and business centers. Alongside roads pedestrian walkways are separated and are

covered by various kinds of trees.

Purpose

There are two types of purposes. One is socially purposes and second is business practice

purpose. Now first we discuss social purposes. There are varieties of benefits which can get

by making Motor racing tracks .The purposes are discussed as follows.

2.2 Social purposes

Car Racing on public roads is dangerous and illegal. It will also have a lot more fun

on a track that is made for speed and safety.

Racing tracks are very helpful in reducing accidents from public roads.

It will represent a good image of our country in front of all over the world in

promotion of sports activities

It will also give a chance for car racing in a safe place to our youngers who have the

passion of motor racing.

With the help of racing tracks the persons who have interest on auto racing may

enhance their racing skills through proper guide line and proper place.

racing sports on international level and can make a good image of Pakistan in sports

activities internationally.

2.3 Business Practice Purposes.

It will help to build economy of Pakistan.

It helps to generate revenue every day.

Our expected revenue calculation of per year is almost 660 million.

It will also give employment opportunities through which unemployment will be

reduced.

The presence of auto racing tracks in Pakistan will attract the foreigners to come here

and participate in auto racing as player and audience which will affect the economy of

Pakistan in a better way.

2.4.1 Documentary Video.

It is a documentary video in which car drivers like racing in very extreme level. And they want proper

Racing track in Pakistan. Racing tracks are located in America, japan, Malaysia, Thailand, and many

more Countries. These countries earn massive revenue with motor sports. They organize races on

every month. Championship races, inter championship, and may more small and large scale races.

Some countries give very high level for car racing. And also these countries give very good gifts to

winners. But in Pakistan there is no proper track. And in Pakistan there is lot of talent. Those who

like races people dont like that boys. But still those boys do races in small roads. In Pakistan people

have sports cars, excellent modified cars, and also they have sports bike. Drivers request to

government to make a proper track. Government earns huge revenue with this project. Drivers said

it government provide them a proper track then they will drive cars in international level.

2.4.2 Driver interview Video.

In this video sports car driver said they want track. He said it is very dangerous to do racing in normal

roads. He is professional driver. They do races in normal roads but there is 100% chance for accident.

So it is very dangerous.

3.Track information.The Islamabad Motor Speedway is a racing event center with a capacity of 110,000 persons and is

developed with a 4.5km, Tri Oval-shaped, Tri oval track, with the pit, viewing suites, access ways,

and associated facilities in the Center. A grandstand with 93,880 seats is located south of the oval. A

front main gate with restaurants, entertainment, and display facilities are located south of the

grandstand. The facility also has a motorcycle track, drag strip, and exterior cart track. In addition to

grandstand seating, there are 6,000 permanent seats and 1,500 temporary bleacher seats in the infield

road course and 1,500 temporary bleacher seats by the drag strip. Surface parking lots for 12,000

vehicles are located at the left and right sides of the track 4 floor car parking. And the NASCAR

surface parking lot is the center of the track.

The land upon which Islamabad Motor Speedway is built used to be a forest land.

We decided to build an Islamabad motor speedway beside lokevirsa cafe islamabad.

However, we wanted a smaller model of the Charlotte track, something with a more

intimate setting.

The time required to for this project approximately two year to finish.

The land on which CDA now sits, as well as construction of the track, cost approximately

(Rs1000,000,000). Provide 4 floorparking for more than 12,000 cars. The track itself was a

perfect 4.5km, measuring 60 feet wide on the straightaways, 75 feet wide in the turns and the

turns were banked at 22 degrees. Seating capacity is 110,000. The speedway has introduce

weekly races.

3.1 Track & car detail.

The whole road track length is 4.5km from starting check point to ending check

point.

There are 6 check points on whole track.

Total 50 pit stops on each seven team members over the pit wall to service a car

during pit stops.

The total area is 6.2km length and 4.1km width.

Road is 60 feet width on the straightaways, 75 feet width in the turns and the turns

were banked at 22 degrees

Road is different from normal roads like its little bit rough and hard road its

not smooth.

Turning point length are 500 meters are 75 feet width and these turns are in 90

degree angle.

Road thickness is 200miles means 325km/h.

4 floor Parking area almost 12,000 Cars Park at a time.

The cost of a NASCAR race car is between $125,000 means 11.500 million rupees to

$150,000 means 13.8 million rupees that are just the price of the car.

The engine could costs between $45,000 means 4.14 million rupees to $80,000 means 7.36

million rupees.

Tires average cost $400 each means 36000 rupees and then add the accessories, etc.

The driver use proper dress. And that dress is fire proof, helmet, cloves, shoes,

etc. and that cost is 0.36 million.

The total cost of this track is 1000million.

Car parking is a very important so in this project 12,000 cars park at a time there is a

large place to park car. 4 Floor car parking.

Friendly staff gives guideline to audience and drivers.

Separate Kids play area.

In Saturday and Sunday these two days public drive their own cars and complete their

New Car running. Its very nominal chargers to complete running on track.

We have a Car checking experts. So any person want to check there car we also provide

this facility.

Local drivers those who are not experts to drive car on track we give guideline how to

drive car on track

Motorcycle racing lover also drive their bikes on separate track. We make a separate

track especially for motorbikes.

During driving if any car got fault then also have a Workshops facility.

On any accident we provide Ambulance and doctors.

Patrol is main thing so we provide Patrol pump facility.

3.3 Islamabad current track information.

We take all information about this track. We analyze that its very small track.

The whole road track length is 1.5km.

The area is 0.5km square feet.

Road is 12 feet width and 1.5km length.

Road is same like normal roads.

Turning point are 15 feet width and these turns are n 90 degree angle.

Road thickness is 100miles means 160km/h.

Parking area almost 40 Cars Park at a time.

The cost of cars are running in this track is 1.4million.

The driver use helmet and that helmet cost is 0.175milloin

The total cost of this track is 100million.

The car covers 1.5km in 57sec with turnings.

Total seven lighting poles are there.

4.Road Accidents in PakistanA car Race collision (motor vehicle collision, motor vehicle accident, car accident, or car

crash) is when a road vehicle collides with another vehicle, pedestrian, animal, road debris, or

other geographical or architectural obstacle. Traffic collisions can result in injury, property

damage, and death.

Pakistan have large road network of 259, 758km of which 8,318km are National Highway

and 2,027km are Motorways. The National Highway pass through major cities are backbone

of our economy. Asian Highway Network length in Pakistan is 4964km. Road crashes are

among leading causes of death and injury worldwide. Thousands of people die on the

Pakistans roads every year. We are not talking about random events or accidents, we are

talking about racing car road crashes. Road traffic injuries cause emotional, physical and

economic burden. In developing country like Pakistan, the poor are disproportionately

affected, with most of the victims being pedestrian, bicyclist, motorcyclists and passenger of

public transport riders and with more than half of them between ages of 15 to 44 years.

Young road users are particularly more vulnerable. Road traffic deaths and injuries affect us

all.

Road accidents are always a human tragedy. But the tragedy is greatest when races are

involved. The economic cost of road crashes and injuries is estimated to be over 100 billion

rupees for Pakistan. However, the loss is more than just numbers, as road traffic injuries push

many families more deeply into poverty by the loss of their breadwinners and inflict a

tremendous continuous burden on the disabled victims and their families; and on health care

system.

According to an estimate, at least 6 million more people will die and 60 million will be

injured during the next 10 years in racing accidents all over the world if proper preventive

measures are not take.

It is also recorded that about 98 percent accidents were just due to the negligence of drivers

that indulged in over-speeding, overloading, wrong overtaking, and driving under the

influence of alcohol. The figures collected through independent sources revealed that in

Punjab alone 29,719 lives were lost in 52,116 road accidents.

This is mainly because of two reasons- one, getting driving license in the country does not

require driving skills or knowledge of traffic. It rather requires acquaintance with the officials

and guts to bribe. The second reason why traffic rules are violated and why teenagers do car

races is the pathetic fact that our traffic constables are absolutely powerless.

And 5 people died in this accident. Just think about it. When government makes professional track

then this type of accidents will not incur. And that will save thousands of lives. Boys do racing on

4.2 Safety procedures

In order to protect precious human lives, there is dire need that precautionary measures must

be adopted besides observation of traffic rules by the drivers.

Government should make professional racing track. So the car racers will not do races

on normal roads.

Racing track is beneficial for car racers. It will reduce the car crashes.

It will protect precious human lives.

The car racers drivers should be imparted few weeks special training, focusing on the

importance of traffic rules, before issuing them licenses.

One-way traffic can minimize the ratio of fatal accidents.

There is also need of proper barriers on all railway crossings.

The problem demands issuance of new licenses after proper driving tests. The whole process

may be a hectic and lengthy task but it is certainly not impossible to implement.

5.Track rules and regulations.5.1 Open Track Rules & Regulations

This manual and instructors will help you understand the rules applying to our open track driving

sessions. In essence, open track is available to all those that want to enjoy driving a sports caran

NASCAR in a controlled environment. There is strictly NO RACING in an open track event, other

major organizations exist for such purposes. We expect that you understand and can follow our rules

in order to conform to a safe and fun environment.

5.2 General Rules & Requirements

Waiver must be signed by each individual entering the track premises.

Pre-registration is required.

There are no half-day passes available for open track events. Open track hours are9:00am

5:00 pm.But in racing championship events the track will open 24hours.

Appropriate wristband must be worn at all times while on track premises.

Absolutely NO PASSENGERS are allowed on the track unless approved by track manager.

All drivers/riders must attend drivers meeting prior to start of event.

Drivers must be wearing a helmet at all times while driving/riding on the track.

Helmet must be SNELL or DOT approved and must be 2010 or newer.

Each helmet will be inspected at time of registration.

Vehicle must have factory seat belts or race harnesses in place for all occupants.

Convertible vehicles must have roll protection in place. Pop-ups are not permitted.

Previous track driving experience is required.

Long sleeve shirt and pants required.

If you suspect anything wrong with your vehicle while driving on the track, GET OFF

immediately or drive off into the grass.

Helmets must be on and strapped at pre-grid.

Drifting is not allowed on the track.

No reversing on the track.

Keep hands in vehicle at all times. Trucks, large sedans and karts are not permitted on track

unless approved by management.

5.3 Extra Notes for Riders:

Motorcycles are allowed only on specified dates. See website for details or call our office.

Riders must wear a full leather suit and gloves or two-piece zip-up.

Motorcycle helmets must be SNELL or DOT approved, and 2010 or newer.

5.4 Driving Experience

There will be up to three different groups; each will have the same amount of track time. A novice

group will usually be followed by the advanced and finally the formula/sport racers. Novice group is

the home to drivers with lesser experience or development, it does not regard to the capabilities of the

vehicle. Advanced group assumes drivers with previous racing experience. In other words, you will

be expected to fit in with your group or you will be advised to move down to novice.

5.5 Novice Group

Read the manual or must do meeting with instructor.

Understand the meaning of the flags

When your group is called, proceed to the starting line

Make sure you are properly restrained and your helmet strap is secure

Wait to receive further instructions

The controller lets cars out on the track one car at a time, please be patient at this time

The first lap is run under yellow, NO PASSING

Be aware of the corner stations

The session begins and ends with the use of the flags

5.6 PASSING RULES:

Passing or overtaking another vehicle is only allowed on the straight-aways between turns 10-

11 and 11-1.

Do not attempt to pass at any other section of the track

If you see a car closing up on you or waiting to pass you, please maintain a safe line and

point-to-pass, let the driver behind you know that you are aware with a point as to which

side he/she should attempt a pass

Do not wait until the end of the straight-aways to make a pass or let somebody pass you.

Give yourself a good braking zone, otherwise wait until the next straight-away to attempt a

pass

If you fail to let cars pass you because you are not aware of them nor the flags being

displayed, you will be black flagged in order to help you

5.7 Advance Group

Read the novice group section to advise you on the level that might be a better starting point

for you if you dont feel confident about your abilities

5.8 PASSING RULES:

The responsibility of passing or attempting to overtake another vehicle rests solely with the

overtaking passing driver

The overtaken driver has the responsibility to be aware that he/she is being overtaken

The overtaken driver shall not block or impede a clean, seamless pass

Point-to-pass is not necessary, but all drivers are encouraged to communicate if necessary

Drivers who appear to be blocking or impeding a safe pass will be blacked flagged

Vehicle contact is illegal.

6.Anatomy of a Pit StopImagine filling up car and changing all four tires in less than 15 seconds. That's exactly what

happens during a pit stop. As a race progresses, cars need to be refueled and worn tires need

to be replaced. That's when a pit stop is needed.

Because seconds are so critical in a race, fast pit stops are important all it takes is one bad pit

stop to move a potential winner to the back of the pack. NASCAR allows seven team

members over the pit wall to service a car during pit stops.

1. Tire Carriers -- Starting on the right side of the car and repeating the process on the left

side, two tire carriers (one each for front and back tires) carry new tires over the pit wall and

hand them to the tire changers.

2. Jack man -- The jack man carries a 20-pound hydraulic jack and raises the car on both

sides (first right, then left) to allow the tires to be changed.

3. Tire Changers -- First removes and replaces right rear tire using an air-powered impact

wrench to loosen and tighten five lug nuts holding the tire rim in place. He then moves to the

opposite side of the car to change the left rear tire.

4. Catch Can Man -- This crew member holds a can that collects overflow from the fuel cell

as it is being filled and signals the rest of the team when the fueling process is finished.

5. Gas Man -- The gas man fills the car's fuel cell with two 12-gallon cans of fuel (81 pounds

each).

6. Support Crew -- Behind the pit wall, other crew members help by passing fuel and tires

and collecting items used by the "over-the-wall" crew.

7. Extra Man -- Occasionally, an eighth man is allowed to clean the windshield or assist the

driver as needed.

8.NASCAR Official -- Each crew is supervised by an official who watches for rules

violations and helps maintain safety.

Japanese, continental food, Pakistani food, etc. it is an

2 cameras on every 250 meters. 1st camera captures front side of car and 2nd camera capture

Our total investment for making of Islamabad Motor Speed way will be estimated 1000

Million which will be use in different steps of completing the whole Speed Way. And this

whole process will take around about two years. The amount will be required as it need for

As we have to acquire the new area for this track, so we have to prepare our personalized

terror, corruption, political instability and economic crises that effects our country very badly

like the entire above problems one of the very serious problem is road accidents which occurs

due to car racing on public roads that is illegal and very dangerous activity and just because

of this car racing on public roads many of the people goes in the valley of death and the

people who dies because of those races are not only those who participates in this car racing

activity as a racer but many of the other innocent who have no concern with it are killed or

badly injured due to this car racing activity.

Many of the other countries around the world have taken measures for this by making car

racing tracks in their countries. With the help of those racing tracks they made them save

from those of dangerous car racing accidents. Those persons who have the passion of car

racing because of having this car racing track facility in their countries they may take part in

car race on car racing tracks and can show their own skills and talents they really have and

can increase their skills on it. Because of having the car racing tracks those countries also

attracts huge numbers of talented car racers to come and be a part of car race as a car racer

and also attracts many of car race lovers to come and take a part in race as an audience and

enjoy the car race and get pleasure of live watching car race in a more secured place than the

car race on public roads .Countries who have proper car racing tracks those countries earns a

huge amount of money from all over the world with the help of organizing car races on car

racing tracks and it also contributes towards their economy to build it more stronger. Proper

be also needed a staff for different operations of it and then vacancies will also be

announced which will increase the employment rate and decrease the unemployment.
