Open Training to Retail !

In this April and June, ITTC worked closely with the sales team of Retail China for mattress and kitchen goods, provided the quality training to the sales specialists from 15 stores in China.

In FY15, ITTC are planing to set regular open day to Retail.

To better secure IKEA product quality, since July 1st, 2014, ITTC will share all verifying test report to IKEA.

Definition of Test Type in ITTC TAF

From July 1st, 2014, the test type in ITTC test application form has been updated as below:

If test is initiated by Supplier, the test type would be prototype test or verifying test.

If test is initiated by IKEA, the test type would be prototype test or follow up test.

- IoS has the responsibility of securing that the IKEA products are in compliance with mandatory market requirements, on the respective market. This responsibility includes necessary testing and certification of a product to make it sellable.

- The supplier is responsible for verifying tests in production. - The first verifying test is from the 0-series. Definition: First production batch from same production line that will be used for running production with same material content and under same production process setup.- The test shall be performed at an IKEA approved lab with OK result be-fore first delivery is approved.- Minimum test frequency shall be specified in IKEA product documenta-tion by PR&C Laws & Standard Specialist together with Global Test and include a final decision in Requirement Council.

- The IKEA unit (IoS, Trading, DC or store) who orders the test with the purpose to follow up compliance (e.g. due to safety alarm issues or auditing products/supplier) is responsible.
