    The requirements for the Team project:

    Instructions: Students will select a conflict / situation in which the parties have been involved in some form of

    business negotiation (!!! Do not select a negotiation that did not take place face-to-face!!!). The teams should be formed of 2 or 3 students.

    The paper should provide a histor of the conflict / situation and an analsis of the negotiations

    associated with the conflict / situation. This analsis should draw etensivel on the theories and empirical evidence covered in the

    course. The paper should then conclude with a critical assessment of the negotiation process to date"

    including suggestions on how it might have been improved. #t should be a maimum of $% pages (minimum & pages)" not including references.

    The projectmust be sent by email to your seminar teacher ([email protected]) until

    November 30th, 2012at 23:5:5" the latest" and the printed versionshould be brought at theseminar when ou are scheduled to present the pro'ect.

    Essay grading:#t is recommended for our pro'ect to have these sections

    #. *resentation of the parties involved in the negotiation##. *resentation of histor of the conflict (the reason of the negotiation)###. Stages of the negotiation process (ou will present here what happens at each stage ofthe negotiation" in the negotiation situation that ou selected)

    - preparation- opening session- bargaining (!!! Do not include a dialog in our pro'ect!!! +ou will have a dialog atthe presentation of our pro'ect!!!)

    - settlement#,. onclusions (what went well" what could have been done better" what surprised ou" andwhat ou learned about negotiation)

    Potential scenarios for essays:

    At work negotiations with our superiors" subordinates" and coworkers concerning a variet of

    personal and professional issues. The ma be as minor as deciding who will make the net pot ofcoffee or as ma'or as the rating on our annual performance evaluation.

    Miscellaneous negotiations that will have a long-term effect on the course of our life" including

    - The terms of our current emploment- n automobile purchase contract or lease agreement- +our home mortgage or apartment rental agreement- research contract with 0+1 corporation

    - negotiation with a researcher who would like more space for her research" etc.

    Writing formalities: The writings are to be tped" single-spaced" with standard margins and fonts.

    *lease note that each document needs to have a cover pa!ewhich includes at least the following

    information- Title of the pro'ect- +our group number- +our names- *rofessor

    General rules and regulations: The projectmust be sent by one member of your team by email to your seminar teacher
