The East Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) is program that levies a tax on property owners to build a fund that will directly service the east downtown area. Property owners, especially business owners will reap the benefi ts of a clean, vibrant downtown.

The East Downtown BID will fund: advertising and promotion, street cleaning, streetscape improvements, facade improvement grants, extra safety measures, as well as planning services. As these measures are implemented, customers will be drawn in by the aesthetics of the area to more fully enjoy the experience of shopping with Springfi eld’s downtown businesses.
