    SHE Travels

Whats the rst thing you dowhen you get in the o ce?Check social media with a cup oftea; try not to get distracted by

    Pinterest!

What is the most challengingaspect of your job?Balancing travel and being out ofthe o ce with day-to-day clientexpectations and deadlines.Technology allows me to traveland stay in touch with my clients, but when it fails, its frustratingand extremely challenging.

Whats one sure- re way to landan event bid?The million dollar question.Address the brief rst andforemost; be as concise aspossible but try to demonstratesome point of di erence so theclient is interested enough towant to meet you in person. If SHE can get in front of theclient, Ive found that our chanceof winning the bid increasessubstantially.

What are your top tips for dealingwith clients?Good, honest communication and picking up the phone. The message and intentionoften gets lost in an email andtext messages dont qualify ascommunication (unless yourerunning ve minutes late for ameeting). Clearly identify rolesand responsibilities so everyoneunderstands whats expected ofthem, and then get on with the job.

    Whats the most important thing

when it comes to organising abusiness event?Attention to detail. No event isever the same, even if its been

run every year for the past veyears. And no detail should beoverlooked; near enough is nevergood enough.

What would you be doing if youwerent director of SHE travelsand Suzanne Hart Events?Working in a restaurant or caf ina town that had a beautiful beachwhere I could surf every morningbefore work.

Who in the world would you mostlike to have dinner with, alive ordead? Is it wrong or completelypredictable to say GeorgeClooney? Well honestly, theman is fascinating, he has had abrilliant and interesting career, and who wouldnt want to havedinner with a good-looking,charming man?

Whats the most interesting/weirdest event youve everorganised?SHE doesnt do weird. And ofcourse, every event we run isinteresting. Seriously, SHE runsregular product knowledgeroadshows for one of ourdepartment stores, and has beendoing so for eight years. I ndthe technology updates reallyinteresting and spending timeonsite with the clients has meantIm able to access some of theseinnovations as theyre happening what a bonus!
