Each of the seven centres offer state-of-the-art space for new start-ups and expanding businesses at a cost-competitive rate, business advice, training and on-site support to help businesses grow.
All premises benefit from easy-in/ easy-out terms and access to the business centres manager. The centres provide the opportunity to network and collaborate in order to achieve business goals.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s Business Enterprise Centres offer meeting and conference rooms, flexible office, studio and workshop accommodation throughout the city, delivering a range of support for new businesses with evolving needs.
Meeting rooms, conference suites, lecture theatres and demonstration areas, ranging from 30 – 150sq meters in size.

Opened in 2013, CoRE is the result of a stunning £12m restoration of a derelict pottery works. It combines the best of 130 years of Potteries-heritage with cutting edge technology and design to create an exciting fusion of the old and the new. CoRE has won multiple architectural awards, including the prestigious RIBA Award for Best Sustainable Project and the LABC Award for Best Change of Use. St James House was built in 1867 and was originally a Victorian factory school that supported the ceramics industry. It became an adult education centre in the 1960s before being acquired by the city council in 1995.
The building has been extensively refurbished to provide 23 offices, studios and workshops of various shapes and sizes that can be let on a monthly licence agreement, a communal kitchen area and a 40-person meeting room with projection equipment.

The Sutherland Institute was built in 1897. It is a Grade II listed building which was once a technical college intended to promote and support the industries of its day - coal, steel and ceramics.
The building was renovated in 2005 and is the industrial arm of St James House. It has ten larger office/studio spaces that can be let on a monthly licence agreement, and has a 120-seat lecture hall with full modern facilities.
