QMS Lead Auditor CourseOrganisations have to identify, plan & establish systems that directly affect the quality of product or service, and ensure that these processes are carried out under controlledconditions both effectively & efficiently. The ISO 9001 quality management system is an ideal tool which provides the means for systematic analysis of all these aspects of anorganisation’s management system to determine the extent and effectiveness of management control.

This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to perform first, second and third party audits of management systems against ISO 9001, in accordance with the guidance provided in ISO 19011.

This course is certificated by the IRCA Governing Board (Certification ref: A17061) and satisfies the formal training requirements for individuals seeking registration under IRCA Auditor Certification Schemes.

Organise and lead an ISO 9001 auditDNV GL - Business Assurance’s ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Course provides the knowledge and skills needed to organise and lead a quality management system (QMS) audit; learn to evaluate and report audit findings; evaluate corrective action effectiveness and carry out follow-up and routine audits.

Course Contents Participants will be trained in the principles and practices of QMS auditing in a manner compatible with ISO 9001, in accordance with the guidance provided in ISO 19011 as well as learn:

■ Principles and purpose of a quality management system and its contribution to improving business effectiveness

■ The key systemic issues within the ISO 9001 requirements to be evaluated during an audit

■ Principles and purpose of the various types of audits ■ The stages and the overall process of a certification audit ■ Roles and responsibilities of auditors and lead auditor

ISO 9001Quality Management System(5-day Lead Auditor Course)

Course ObjectivesThe course is interactive in nature with emphasis on active involvement of participants in group-work, brainstorming sessions, reflection exercises and assessment of case studies which will result in the participants’ developing understanding and skills for conducting audits for ISO 9001 effectively. At the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

■ Plan and conduct audits in accordance with ISO 19011. ■ Report on audit, including writing valid, factual and value-adding non-conformity reports

■ Undertake audit follow-up activities, including evaluating the effectiveness of corrective action

■ Understand the role of Accreditation Bodies

Delegates have to take and pass a mandatory closed-book examination (2 hours) to be awarded an IRCA course certificate.
