As Fuel Prices Skyrocket, Danbury Airport’s Business Aircraft Center Provides

Lowest Jet Fuel Costs in NY Tri-State Area

Low prices and frequency programs attract pilots willing to fly the extra distance.

Danbury, CT, April 2011… Fixed Base Operation, Business Aircraft Center located at Danbury Airport (KDXR) in Connecticut, is doing its part in helping pilots keep their fuel costs down. With oil prices rising at unprecedented speed, BAC is maintaining the cost of its Shell 100LL and Jet A at the lowest per gallon rate in the New York tri-state area.

“These are unprecedented times, and pilots are concerned, especially here in Connecticut,” stated Santo Silvestro, pilot and owner of the FBO. “We’re facing not only huge jumps in the cost of fuel, but there is a Bill proposed by Governor Dannel Malloy that would greatly increase property taxes on private aircraft for pilots who are based in Connecticut. With our fuel programs, we’re trying to let our pilots know we know how they feel.”

Since he became owner of BAC a year ago, fuel prices at the FBO have been at least $1 less per gallon than nearby Westchester County Airport (HPN). Pilots have caught on—the Westchester County Police Department flies its helicopters the extra 8 minutes by air from they’re nearby airport to fuel up.

Low fuel costs aren’t the only way that BAC is making it financially easier on pilots.
