Business Affairs Service Award Dinner and Celebration

On February 10, 2016, Randy Livingston recognized and celebrated our twenty-one long term service

honorees who work in all the various departments within Business Affairs. This is the fourth year we

have celebrated our long time service staff with a four-course dinner for them and a guest at Flemings

Steakhouse at the Stanford Shopping Center.

It is a long-standing tradition at Stanford to honor our dedicated staff at 5 year increments. At this

event, Business Affairs departmental leaders and Randy paid tribute to those individuals who have

achieved the impressive milestones of 20, 25, 30, 35, and even one individual who has given Stanford

45 years of service.

As a souvenir of the event, we prepare a program and included a short biography of each individual.

Many of our honorees had profound and interesting things to say about their tenure at Stanford. One

person said; “Over my years at Stanford I have learned that learning is a continuous process that we

cannot escape from and that we must learn to embrace, it in all of its fullness, in order to be the best

we can be.”

Randy ended this event by saying “This has been a remarkable evening and I am honored to have spent

it in your company. Each one of you has given significantly to Stanford and to Business Affairs and I

know your accomplishments over the years have been in a large part due to the support of your family

and friends who have joined us tonight. Thank you all.”

The event was enjoyed by all. Jennifer Brown, Christine O’Keeffe and Suzanne Ferris were our

coordinators and planners for this event.
