DESCRIPTION
This system demonstrates the concept of bus detection system by the blind people using RFID. In which the blind people having RFID reader with some microcontroller module which gives the buzzer sound whenever the specific bus comes, the bus is equipped with RFID tag. Whenever bus comes at bus stop the blind person who is provided with RFID reader get signal as it reads tag. RFID is a wireless personal area networking standard which provides features like non line of sight detection of tag by RFID reader from a distance of up to 1.5 meter. This feature helps in using RFID in many applications.

BUS DETECTION DEVICE FOR THE BLIND USING PASSIVE
RFID APPLICATION
ABSTRACT
This system demonstrates the concept of bus detection system by the blind
people using RFID. In which the blind people having RFID reader with some
microcontroller module which gives the buzzer sound whenever the specific bus comes,
the bus is equipped with RFID tag. Whenever bus comes at bus stop the blind person
who is provided with RFID reader get signal as it reads tag. RFID is a wireless personal
area networking standard which provides features like non line of sight detection of tag
by RFID reader from a distance of up to 1.5 meter. This feature helps in using RFID in
many applications.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
The existing system is used to Ultrasonic sensors. It send ultrasonic waves
continuously and reflect them when they hit upon the object. In this case, seven such
sensors are used where two are fixed on either gloves and the remaining five are fixed
in a certain design pattern on the spectacle. The Ultrasonic sensors on the glove are just
used to indicate the presence of an object in front of the glove with a beep sound while
the Ultrasonic sensor design in the spectacle is coupled to a microcontroller which is
programmed to give directions through a voice output depending on the combination
of the reflected Ultrasonic waves from the object.

DESCRIPTION
In our proposed system we are using based microcontroller, which the
current dominant microcontroller in mobile based products. RFID reader is connected
to microcontroller based embedded board and a program is running which will analyze
tag data on the bus and send signal to the buzzer if the bus tag data matches with
program data. This system demonstrates the concept of bus detection system by the
blind people using RFID. In which the blind people having RFID reader with some
microcontroller module which gives the buzzer sound whenever the specific bus comes,
the bus is equipped with RFID tag. Whenever bus comes at bus stop the blind person
who is provided with RFID reader get signal as it reads tag. We are using software
development Tool as Keil, flash magic for loading hex file in to the microcontroller.
RFID Tag:
The tag has a sequence of metal pins or a bar code strip made of a magnetic
material (differ from tags). The sequence of the metal pins or the bar code has a digital
meaning behind it and it is unique to the particular tag. When the tag is interpreted or
decoded, the sequence is displayed as numbers unique to the tag. Since it makes use of
the Radio frequency interference technique, radio frequency helps in decoding the
information.

RFID Reader:
The radio frequency used to decode the data in the RFID tag is produced by the
RFID reader. When a radio frequency wave interacts with an RFID tag, the pins or the
bar code energizes and produces its own magnetic field which has a unique interference
pattern which when read by the RFID reader would obtain the unique number
designated to the corresponding RFID tag. Thus the RFID reader obtains the address of
the desired RFID tag (the address defers from each tag). This identified tag when
attached to a real object (example: table) will be the reference to that object. Thus the
object is indirectly detected.
ADVANTAGES
Low cost
Less noise
Less delay
Good efficiency
APPLICATION
This system is very useful to blind peoples.
When the person reaches the bus station, he can find the buses that pass through
a particular location with the help of this system.

What is IEEE? The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers or IEEE (read eye-triple-e) is Incorporated in the State of New York, United States. It was formed in 1963 by the merger of the Institute of Radio Engineers (IRE, founded 1912) and the American Institute of Electrical Engineers (AIEE, founded 1884). A membership organization comprised of engineers, scientists and students that sets standards for computers and communications. It is a nonprofit organization with more than 365,000 members in around 150 countries. The IEEE describes itself as "the world's largest technical professional society -- promoting the development and application of electro technology and allied sciences for the benefit of humanity, the advancement of the profession, and the well-being of our members."
