REGION

As it would be, Dubai has normal seasons (Summer, Fall, Winter,

Spring). Dubai is one of the greatest place in the world to catch

and sell fish.

Direct Quote:

"The Burj Khalifa, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is the

tallest building in the world. It is so tall it is like we could

see the clouds. The building has 163 stories and

measures 2,716 feet (828 meters) tall. Burj Khalifa was

completed in 2010 at a cost of $1.5 billion. At peak

activity, its construction involved more than 12,000

workers. Before construction was completed, the building

was known as Burj Dubai. It was later renamed after the

president of the United Arab Emirates, Khalifa bin Zayed

Al Nahayan(World Book Student).”

MOVEMENT

To get to the Burj Khalifa you need

The “Mall of The Emirates” is a very large shopping mall. There are many other huge skyscrapers that you can visit

in the city, as well. There are shops you can go to and

business buildings. It’s like a traditional “New York” type

city, but with taller buildings.

NEWSPAPER ARTICLE

By John E.

“Today my family went to Dubai to visit the tallest

building in the world! When we first got there the

sights were outstanding! There was lakes and

skyscrapers everywhere! The buildings danced

across the city. We went fishing the day before

because we heard that the water was rich with fish.

The next day we went to the Burj Khalifa which was

the main attraction. We later realized that there are

actual hotel section of the building! Quickly, we

checked out of our old hotel and checked into one

that was in the Burj Khalifa. The day after that we

traveled to the top with my kids while my wife went

shopping in the many shopping malls in the Burj

Khalifa. We kept doing fun activities until we needed

to go home. To my surprise, the Burj Khalifa is quite

a wonder!”

Allusion: The only allusion I could find for “Burj Khalifa” is the

rapper “Wiz Khalifa” because the name is very similar to

it.

to take either a boat or a plane to

Dubai. Then, you can take a car,

train, or you can take a bus to the

tallest building. (It will be easy to

see)

PLACE Burj Khalifa is a multi-use

building. It has a hotel, some

apartments, and also

corporate suites. It also has a

restaurant, broadcasting

equipment, and a lot of sky

lobbies. It is also, as stated

previously, the tallest building

in the world.

Direct Quote:

“Unlike many skyscrapers, Burj

Khalifa does not have a steel

frame. The building is

supported by a core of

reinforced concrete that was

cast on the site. The concrete

structure gives the building an

impressive appearance (World

Book Student).”
