Bloomfield Galleries/Odana Editions (12) specialises in original works by Norman Lindsay and Frank and Margel Hinder. Odana Editions publish limited editions of Norman Lindsay artworks, books, posters, greeting cards and sculpture. Open by appointment Monday to Friday – two days notice required please.

A quintessential art and craft shop, Bungendore Art Connection (19) is run by resident artists, Tania and Vivien Laycock, always happy to chat about painting, kilnwork, spinning, knitting and woodcraft. Bungendore souvenirs available and for the art enthusiast, an excellent Papua New Guinea art collection is on permanent display.

X Gallery (25) situated in a beautifully restored barber’s shop, has an emphasis on high quality art and objects

The historical Bungendore Railway Station is home to the Station Shops (13) with neat rooms filled with home wares, furniture, gifts, jewellery and much more, with a little French influence, all to delight the discerning shopper.

FINE FOODThere are abundant choices for good eating. Walk around the village and follow your intuition or ask a local for the place to best suit your needs. The award winning Carrington Inn Restaurant (7) is nothing like your ordinary hotel restaurant. Offering a romantic, sophisticated and traditional ambience and has fast become one of the Canberra Region’s most exciting dining experiences.

There’s a big welcome at Cafe Wood Works (6), and generous cuisine, with coffee and cakes to come back for. Thymes Thirty Three (18), Bungendore’s newest café in a secluded location has all day breakfasts and a modern seasonal menu featuring home cooked meals and ever-changing specials including gluten free dishes.
