WELCOME VISITORS! WE’RE GLAD YOU’RE HERE!

Whether you are new to the area or a long-time resident, we warmly welcome you to our community of faith at Vale Church! If you are visiting for the first time, we invite you to fill out a visitor card located in your pew.

At the 10am service during the school year, children ages 3 through Grade 12 are invited to participate in one of our many Sunday School classes. Our teachers will escort them to an age appropriate class following the “Children’s Moment,” and you may pick them up after the service. Nursery care is available for infants and toddlers during both services, year round.

Join us in the Fellowship Hall after both 8:30am and 10:00am services for coffee and snacks. Be sure to introduce yourself to one of our “Shepherds” (with the red nametags), who can answer any questions you may have about our church community and programs.

On your way out, please pick up a Vale Welcome Bag, which contains more information about our church. The bags are available at the entrance to the Main Sanctuary and outside the Church Office.

We look forward to meeting you—and hope to see you again soon! To receive emails from Vale Church about upcoming services and programs, please visit our website at www.ValeChurch.org/Vale-Voice.html.

New AED Unit

Sudden cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of death in the U.S. Over 350,000 people will suffer from sudden cardiac arrest this year. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere and at any age. An AED is the only effective treatment for restoring a regular heart rhythm during sudden cardiac arrest and is an easy to operate tool for someone with no medical background; therefore the Church Council approved the Trustees proposal to purchase an AED for our church. The AED has been mounted midway down the wall that borders the Fellowship Hall. We plan to schedule an opportunity for church members to get CPR/AED certified sometime in the near future.

Vale Preschool: Just a Few 4s Spots Left for the Fall 2016

Vale UMC Preschool still has a few openings in our 4s class for the 2016-17 school year but we are filling quickly. We are very blessed to have highly qualified teachers with many years of classroom experience on our staff. Our low teacher student ratio and small maximum student registration makes our school quite unique. We have Chapel with the Pastor, Movement and Music classes twice each month. A visit prior to registration is recommended for all prospective families. For more information about our church’s preschool offerings, contact Ruth Anne Luckenbaugh at [email protected] or 703-400-1577.

3s class is now full but we do keep a waiting list.
