Mission Statement Our Lady of Lourdes Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, established in 1967, is a parish of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kingston. Called by God in Scripture and Tradition, we share in the Mission of the universal church to worship God. Living our baptismal call to holiness, our faith is deepened when we commit ourselves to the service of all within the parish and the world for the building up of His church to the honour and glory of God. Through the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes, may we be open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit through Christ, the Lord.

~ Amen.

Cemetery Conservation PlanSt. Philomena Church, Howe Island, is in the early phases of developing a conservation plan for its cemetery so that future generations can participate in the spiritual and cultural celebration of its heritage. We are reaching out to parishes in the Archdiocese for assistance in this project. We are looking for information about a relative or friend who may be buried here. Perhaps the connection with you may be an ancestor. Any information would be helpful. Please contact Lise Emmerson at St. John the Evangelist Rectory by phone at: 613-382-2017 or email: [email protected]

National Child Day of PrayerWe, as a people of faith ask for a blessing for National Child Day, November 20. We pray for all the children touched by abuse and neglect in our community. We pray for the foster parents who take care of them and the staff at Family and Children’s Services of Frontenac, Lennox and Addington who help them. We pray also that our community will find the new foster parents Family and Children’s Services urgently needs. We ask that you give all the people who help to keep our kids safe, your peace and your blessings.
