Christmas Shows

Our school performed our annual Christmas Play Wednesday evening December 21, with the eighth graders acting out the parts and the classes 1st through 7th coming on stage to sing throughout the play. This year's original show was "The Elves and the Leprechauns", and as always the true meaning of Christmas is revealed. It is our way of wishing our families a very Merry Christmas while providing valuable stage and performance time for our students. Our Pre-K and Kindergarten performed their Christmas show, Friday morning, December 16th. The Pre-K 3 class sang reindeer themed songs while the Pre-K 4 class and Kindergarten used poems and costumes to tell the story of the first Christmas. Everyone sang to great applause from family and friends, and enjoyed refreshments.

We are looking forward to a happy and productive New Year!

Revelation:

The Kingdom

Yet to Come

The Monday night Bible study will be studying the Book of Revelation

starting January 9th at 7PM in the Kolbe room. Registration is $25.00 and will end December 26. Make checks payable to St. Maximilian Kolbe Church. You can drop them off at the rectory. Please leave your name and email address when registering. For further questions, contact Lidia Manieri at [email protected]. Revelation: The Kingdom Yet to Come is an intriguing study that shows how the kingdom established by Christ in his Church is intimately connected with the kingdom of heaven. Here you will discover what the mysterious figures and images of Revelation mean. You will see how Revelation is more than an apocalyptic vision of the "end times." It is a revelation of God as our Divine Bridegroom and the Church as his spotless Bride, forever united in a heavenly, holy, and mystical marriage that we enter into every time we celebrate the Mass.

THE PIVOTAL PLAYERS

The Tuesday Morning Bible Study will be studying Bishop Barron’s Catholicism: The Pivotal

Players beginning Tuesday, January 10th at 9 AM in the Maximilian Room. Registration is $25.00 and will end on December 26. Make checks payable to St. Maximilian Kolbe Church. Please leave your name and email address when registering. For further questions, contact Judy Armour at [email protected] or call 610-793-2596. Bishop Robert Barron’s CATHOLICISM: The

Pivotal Players showcases a handful of saints, artists, mystics, and scholars who not only shaped the life of the Church but changed the course of western civilization.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

We all need to take a step back from our busy lives and come visit Jesus. We have a great opportunity every Tuesday all year round to stop in and spend some quiet time with Him during Eucharistic Adoration. We have a wonderful group of people who have each committed their time, but we need your help.

We’d like to have two or more people committed to each hour; we also need to compile a list of people who are willing to be called upon as substitutes when the regular adorers are unable to be there. If you would like to participate in this important ministry, please let us know. We have a particular need for the 2 to 3 pm hour. Please contact Anne Chavez at [email protected] or 610-793-2154 or call the rectory to volunteer.

“Spend as much time as possible in front of

the Blessed Sacrament and He will fill you

with His strength and power.”—Mother

Teresa
