Looking toward a bright future IF YOU NEED a little “feel good,” look no further than the Class of 2020. At few stages of life does tradition play such a central role: proms, commencement, grad night celebrations, summer internships. For this year’s graduates, the mileposts on life’s highway look very different than they did for most of us.

Graduates have risen to meet the year’s unexpected detours. When I talk with young members, I hear optimism, patience, and wisdom. They recognize their unique place in history as they come of age during challenging times.

Fortunately, they haven’t had to face their tests alone. I’m inspired by the many people – teachers, administrators, parents, and members of the community – who have stood by their side to offer support and guidance as their educations, careers, and our nation move forward.
