    PARENTS EVENINGYear 12 Parents Evening Tuesday 20th March. Please remember to return your reply slips.

    The final Parents Evening for the majority of our Year 13 students took place last Thursday. We are delighted to reportthat out of 115 students only 4 families were unable to attend this important event.The Year 12 parents evening will take place tomorrow, and once again it would appear that the turn out to this event willbe excellent.We would like to thank all our families for their continued support.

    All AS and A2 Art and Photography studentsJust a reminder that permission slips for the "Open Gallery day" were due in last Friday. It is essential that we have theseback or you will not have permission to be out of school this Friday. I know that you won't want to miss this wonderfulopportunity so please can you make sure (if you haven't already done so) that you bring your signed permission slips tothe art department tomorrow (Tuesday).     WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAMME 11TH - 15TH JUNEDEADLINE EXTENSIONPlease note that I have negotiated an extension to the deadline set for the return of your work experience referral forms.You now have until Friday 23rd March to return your forms along with your cheque for 29.95 made payable to SimonBalle School (or parentpay).     Model United Nations Conference 2012Our two delegations attended a practice debate at Haileybury College last week in preparation for this weekends event.Mrs Salt

    YEAR 10Year 10 students who have been predicted A and A* are being given the opportunity to meet with key members of theSixth Form over the coming weeks. Students will be given the opportunity to discuss their future career plans andaspirations. Mrs Salt

    UNIVERSITY OF HERTFORDSHIRE ANNUAL LAW CONFERENCEAfter the success of last year, the University Of Hertfordshire School Of Law is once again hosting the Annual LawConference for Year 12/Lower Sixth students on Thursday 5th July 2012 at our De Havilland Campus.

    The aim of the Conference is to provide students with a flavour of studying Law at University.     Celebrating Success - AttendanceFor the second year running, Year 12 and Year 13 students, form tutors and our link governor Alison Morris will be treatedto a healthy breakfast to celebrate the sixth form students excellent attendance record.     COMMON ROOM ROTAWe have reintroduced the Common Room clean up rota and therefore 13SEM will be registering in the common roomevery afternoon this week. 13JN will be invited to help next week.

    A LEVEL MATHMATICIANSStuck with mathematics? Need help? Mrs Mahoney is usually in the Common Room to offer one to one and small grouptuition Monday p 1 and 5, Tuesday p4 and 5, Friday p 3.
