Bulk bagging systems

Fast, accurate and reliable Bulk Bagging Systems...

RM Group offer four types of bulk bag weighing systems The BB-200, BB-215 and BB150C weigh product as it is being filled. The high speed BB-400 bulk bag filling system weighs product before it is discharged into a bag. This allows operators time to replace a bag whilst the system is re-filling to achieve rapid packing times. Whatever your need, RM Group have an application to suit your requirement.

Our in-house design engineering team enable us to offer bespoke bulk packaging systems to suit your existing loading machinery, bag sizes and product.

All hoppers and conveying systems are built to withstand the most abrasive products and the test of time. Our bulk filling machinery is tailored towards the product and bag type. As standard, all new systems come with a 12 month parts and labour warranty.

BB-150 C

The all new BB-150C is designed for use with non-free flowing products such as compost, top soil, mulch and bark. Included is a ‘boat’ hopper that feeds product to the infeed conveyor using a belt. It includes a screw agitator to ensure product does not compact and undermine or bridge. The infeed directs product to a chute before the FIBC. Product is weighed in the bag on a platform scales. Weights can be modified using the weigh indicator.

Operators are to place tunnelled or looped bags onto the fork channels of the bulk baggers weigh platform, once in place the operator starts the filling process by pressing a button on the system control panel. The system will begin to fill the FIBC bag until the target weight has been reached, the system will then automatically stop.

The system will work with many different products and can be customised to the users specifications.

BB-215

The next model in the Bulk Bag Filling range is the BB-215. Its design very much led by our customers who were looking for a more robust bag filling system that accepts a larger volume of product. Standard systems come complete with greedy boards which allow for a loading width over 4 meters. Unlike the BB-200, the BB-215 has a bulk in-feed conveyor that feeds product into a standalone platform weigher. The 11 m3 hopper can be configured to suit your layout, seen below is a side loading system.

Operators are required to place a 4 looped or sleeved bulk bag onto the arms of the platform weigher before starting the system. An operator presses start and the product fills the bag to the programmed weight. Once filled operators remove the filled bulk bag in order to repeat the process.

Technical Data

BB-400

The brand new BB-400 is capable of filling 3 bulk bags per minute and able to refill to weighment in just 17 seconds. A large 11m3 hopper feeds onto an in-feed belt conveyor which then feeds the BB-400 bulk bag filling system. The system itself is controlled by an integrated weighing system that fills the weigh pan to a pre-set weighment.

Operators are required to place tunnelled or looped bags onto the forks of the forklift or telehandler. Once in place the operator starts the filling process by pressing a button on the supplied key fob. Once the weigh pan is filled and an empty bag is in position, the operator can use a key fob to release product. The system then repeats the process and takes a mere 17 seconds to re-fill in preparation for the next bag.

Material HandlingAt RMGroup the supply of robust bulk material handling systems starts with Design at our Factory based in Mid-Wales. We pride ourselves on the delivery of quality bespoke material handling systems that complement our packaging systems. Alternatively, we can design and manufacture material handling systems in order to feed your existing processing machinery. Please contact our office and speak to the Sales Team about your requirements.

Bulk handling products supplied:

Hoppers built in stainless or mild steel

Flat / chevroned belt conveyors

Shaker tray

Screening systems

Bulk bag discharge frames

Auger feed systems for fine / poor flow products

Mixing and batching systems.

The BB-200 has been designed to be easily relocated using a teleporter or forklift truck. Lifting channels are built into the system in order to eliminate any use of lifting slings. The legs are adjustable allowing it to be collapsed before transporting.

BB-200The BB-200 is a robust FIBC bag filling system designed to accept various products, allowing users more flexibility to utilise the system to bag a broader range of materials.

As standard the system includes a 4m² hopper, belt conveyor and filling frame. The channelled arms on the bag filling frame are designed to accept 4 looped bulk FIBC's. Once filled the bag can be removed with ease by using a fork lift truck. Operators are simply required to place a standard 4 looped FIBC bag onto the filling arms. Once in place the operator starts the filling process by pressing the start button. The system will automatically switch off once the desired weight has been met. Weighments can be easily modified on the weigh indicator.
