ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Qualification And Recognition

Trainee who successfully completed the training and passed the assessment will be awarded the Skills Competency Certificate by CIDB. Trainee is eligible to be employed as skilled worker.

Course Content

• Introduction to workplace/workshop safety and health practice and basic first aid• Rules and regulations related to backhoe operation• Assessment of work area• Inspect technical performance of backhoe loader• Identify equipment and control system• Load shifting, trenching, levelling, spreading and slope cutting & finishing• Operation of loader and backhoe• Shut down procedures• Service and maintenance

• Introduction to workplace/workshop safety and health practice and basic first aid• Rules and regulations related to hydraulic excavator operation• Site, personal and equipment safety• Machine design• Worksite evaluation• Pre-operation inspection on machines and finishing works• Machine operation procedures• Load shifting, trenching, levelling, spreading and slope cutting & finishing• Shut down procedures• Service and maintenance

• Physically fit• Literate• Minimum have sat for the SPM examination or equivalent.• Age 21–35 years old for Youth Programme• Age 21–55 years old for Construction Personnel Programme• Possessed at least Class ‘L’ Driving License priority is given to Class ‘D’ Driving License holder.• Possessed a valid Construction Personnel Registration Card and 6 months minimum experience in related field for Construction Personnel Programme
