Directions

Each triad will be assigned a word: prophecy, fate, archetype, supernatural, origins, separation, duality, struggle for power1. Reread the text and use context clues to determine the meaning of your word in the context of the whole text2. Using markers design a word model on chart paper. The model presents:- The word or concept- A synonym (what it is)- An antonym (what it is not)- A symbol (nonlinguistic representation)- A sentence containing the word/concept3. On the back write the definition of the word/concept

0Docent – a person in a museum that explains to people what they are seeing

0Choose one person from your triad to be the docent (this role may be rotated) to explain your model to your peers

0As you circulate around the room in your triad to look at the word models, the docent will explain their model to you

0Sticky Notes: Use your sticky notes to add to the model you are viewing (e.g. add another antonym or synonym, a sentence or symbol)
