It’s cumbersome, more than a little dull and generally doesn’t pay off very well. But, with the correct fine tunings, you can bring in a little bit of pleasure into your gold farming and make sure you generate a substantial pile of the items for each and every minute you spend signed on. Turn Farming into a Social Activity The majority of people think of farming in WoW and remember lengthy hours spent waiting for a certain item to drop or selecting the same tedious nodes over and over again. But, it doesn’t have to be that way. Make a game of it and invite some friends. You can go farming in instances too where you can bring 3 or four cronies and take out big-name bosses on your way to acquiring some of the greatest loot the game can provide. I don’t encourage you do this if you’re aiming for 1,000+ gold an hour, but if you just want to kill some time and create gold, then it's the approach to take. Subcontract to Other Farmers Build a farming kingdom by delegating your gold making to other folks. If you can get 5- 10 other people on board farming for items that you can flip for a profit on the auction house, you’ll instantly make much more gold than you would otherwise. Exactly how does it work? Initially, promote your item buying services in a major city. Many players fresh off a farming expedition will want to get shot of things fast. You need to offer reasonable prices, but they can be 20% below the common auction house sale prices and you’ll still make a profit. Remember too that there is a standard auction house fee, so you’ll need to cover that. Finally, you could just skip farming completely. Please don't feel like you need to go out and “earn” every gold chunk you collect. The richest players in this game did it by improving their auction house mastery, not by farming endless mobs and profession nodes. Conclusion Farming in World of Warcraft will never be as much fun as taking down an epic 25 man boss with 100 million HP. But, it can be much more fun than sitting around and waiting for a fish to bite on your shiny bauble in Durotar. So, get in there, build a technique that works and most of all, have a great time.
