Mechatronic Engineer Edgar Alejandro Duarte created an open database that provides real-data regarding di�erent physical water parameters. These parameters can later be used to calculate objective estimations regarding water quality.

College Board tests are based on current pedagogical and psychometric concepts, constructed by multidisciplinary teams and are internationally validated. They are used in twelve regional countries, allowing Latin-American comparisons.

An alliance between the South-East Norway University and UVG allowed the project entitled: “Education in the �eld of sustainable tourism and ecology in Norway”. This �ve-year project was awarded 400,000 Krones by the Norwegian Partnership Programmed for Global Academic Cooperation Agency, NORPART.

5G TechnologyTelecommunication Research Areas

César Augusto Azurdia, a UVG Electronic Engineer with a Ph.D. in Electronics and Radio Engineering from Kyung Hee University in South Korea, has published more than 15 scienti�c papers. Dr. Azurdia is currently a professor in the Electric Engineering Department in Chile, where he is also doing research regarding 5G technology for telecommunications.

The Research Institute has 11 Research Centers that collaborate with UVG´s Departments and Faculties where students use labs and participate in ongoing research projects. Many students undergo their professional practice, work on their thesis or do internships using our facilities. We also provide thesis advisory for international students thanks to alliances we have with researchers and universities in other countries.
