KGS (Keller Geräte & Service GmbH) and Colcrete Eurodrill is the centre of excellence for the Keller Group worldwide for the development, design, manufacturing and repair of special ground engineering equipment and tailor made applications. KGS owns and rents general plant (vibrocats, drill rigs, cranes, hydraulic power packs, generator sets) as well as Keller’s specialist equipment (vibrators, vibro switch boxes, soilcrete monitors, mixers, rotary heads). KGS supplies all spare parts for equipment which it manufactures / purchases and rents to the business.KGS carries out service and repair of KGS equipment and plant owned by Keller businesses and is responsible for technical consulting, design and execution of equip-ment modifications.

Four of Keller’s Australian companies, led by Piling Contractors, were involved in executing the foundations for the largest road and bridge infrastructure project in Queensland’s history.

Keller is the market leader in the USA, trading under well-known local brand names. Together, they are able to combine their expertise and resources to take on some of North America’s most demanding projects. Hayward Baker is North America’s leading specialist ground engineering business, specialising in site improvement, soil stabilisation, underpinning,

excavation support, settlement control, foundation rehabilitation and ground water control. Since its merger with Anderson Drilling, Hayward Baker now also offers heavy foundations to the commercial, industrial and public infrastructure markets on the West Coast. Case is a specialist foundation contractor with more than 50 years’ experience. Case offers piling and diaphragm wall services, and is renowned for its deep caisson foundation systems. McKinney is a provider of drilled shaft caissons in the south and eastern United States, adding complementary strengths to the Case operations. H J Foundation is the market leader in Florida in continuous flight auger piles. Suncoast Post-Tension is North America’s leading designer and supplier of post-tension cable systems – an advanced method of concrete reinforcement used in slab on grade foundations and structural spans. Geo-Foundations, acquired in January 2013, specialises in micro-piling, ground anchors, and specialty grouting services, mainly in eastern Canada.

Keller Holding is the premier ground-engineering contractor serving the European and African markets. Keller operates in Algeria, Austria, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, UK and Ukraine. Keller offers a wide range of grouting and ground improvement techniques as well as other geotechnical processes. Since 2014 we work also in South Africa, Angola, Mauritius, Mozambique, Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Kenia, Lesoto, Namibia, Seychelles, Swaziland and Tanzania. Keller also offers a wide range of ground improvement, grouting and piling techniques in the Middle East through its businesses in Bahrain, Egypt, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.

In Asia, Keller provides geotechnical solutions in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. Solutions include large diameter bored piling, ground anchoring, ground improvement, specialty grouting and site investigation. In addition to construction, Keller often designs or redesigns solutions to lower costs for its clients. Under the names Keller and Resource Piling, solutions have been provided for power plants, highways, petrochemical plants, office skyscrapers, apartments, ports, railways, airports, reclamations and many other types of building and infrastructure projects.

Frankipile has established a reputation for the design and construction of a wide variety of cost effective and

innovative foundation solutions tailored to the needs of the Australian construction industry. Vibro-Pile’s services embrace a wide range of foundation systems including large bored rock socketed piles; deep, large diameter continuous flight auger piles and cast in situ piles. Piling Contractors, Australia’s largest piling contractor, is a provider of heavy foundations including sheet piling, diaphragm walls and driven pre-formed piles, serving Australia’s civil engineering, infrastructure and mining sectors. Formed in 2003, Keller Ground Engineering offers geotechnical solutions and specialist ground improvement technologies, which are gaining growing acceptance in Australia as an alternative to traditional piling. Waterway Constructions specialises in foundations for, and the maintenance of, wharves, jetties and other marine structures.

Ground improvementGround improvement techniques are used to prepare the ground for new construction projects and to reduce the risk of liquefaction in areas of seismic activity.

Specialty groutingSpecialty grouting strengthens target areas in the ground and controls ground water flow through rocks

and soils by reducing their permeability.

Piling and earth retentionPiling involves the installation of structural elements to transfer foundation loads through weak soils to stronger underlying ground.

Anchors, nails, minipilesAnchors, nails and minipiles can provide temporary or permanent solutions for a wide range of stability or support problems and are often used to underpin or stabilise buildings, slopes and embankments.

Post-tension concretePost-tension cable systems are used to reinforce concrete foundations and structural spans, enhancing their load-bearing capacity by applying a compressive force to the concrete, once set.
