As an experienced and reliable partner, we can help you achieve your building requirements with safety, efficiency, and pluggability. For over 40 years, we have been offering smart solutions with our connector systems for lighting installation and automation, for room automation, and for power supply, etc.

SMART SOLUTIONS FOR BUILDING PLANNERS + ARCHITECTS.

Short timescales and tight completion schedules are the norm for electrical installers on site. That is why a quick, safe, and above all faultless electrical installation is necessary.Upcoming changes during the construction phase or during ongoing operation call for maximum flexibility. Our modular gesis® system meets all these requirements and is impressively easy to use.

QUICKER ASSEMBLY

Our pluggable components minimize assembly times thanks to wellconceived interface technology and diversified connection technology with prefabricated cable sets.

ECONOMICAL PLANNING CAPABILITY

The gesis® connector system ensures that schedules and project flows can be calculated and guarantees standardized quality in planning and execution.

SUSTAINABLE PROCESS QUALITY

gesis® is the standardized interface for all building installation and automation jobs. The mechanical coding reliably prevents mismating.

SMART INSTALLATION – EXPLOIT POTENTIAL

With our gesis® installation system, we have revolutionized electrical installation. Highquality and durable components assure impressive 70 % time and 30 % cost savings! gesis® has been conceived in the style of a modular system: all the product groups complement each other and enable smart and costeffective electrical installation, from distribution to consumer.

By opting for a gesis® flat cable system you can benefit from all the advantages of a smart electrical installation. You can install branches at any point and at any time, fast and safely, without having to cut the cable! Contacts are made by means of insulationpiercing connection technology. Five systems are available to you with different cross sections, regardless of whether you want to distribute power or signals.

Propertyspecific distribution boards for decentralized power supply and building automation complete our installation system.

YOUR BENEFITS

+ More usable space in the building + 30 % lower installation costs + Power available wherever and whenever easy fast safe

Cabling based on smart installation concepts creates clear installation structures. In combination with pluggability, this leads to a system that can be installed fast and safely. Consistent three-phase cabling up to just before the consumer also reduces the voltage drop, which increases energy efficiency. co

YOUR BENEFITS

+ Reliably calculable project flows + Easy planning – streamlined structures + Flexible room configuration now – in future – safely

PLAN EFFICIENTLY + COST-EFFECTIVELY

Smart building automation can sustainably reduce the energy needs of a building in healthcare sector. Our highly flexible system, which is founded on the basic idea of a busbased system, offers a highly economical platform for your construction projects with its pluggable installation components. The initial investment in automation technology pays for itself in just a few years of operation.

The decentralized and pluggable products demonstrate their full added value in terms of speed and lasting cost effectiveness especially with projects involving a large number of identical rooms, such as hospitals, retirement homes, and nursing homes. Any later changes of use throughout the lifecycle of the building can also be implemented easily.

Buildings in healthcare sector have to be energy-efficient, easy to use, safe, and adaptable – automation components are not only effective but also quick to install and easy to handle. With our sophisticated and future-proof products, we provide solutions to meet all your building automation requirements.

SOLUTIONS FOR HOSPITALS.

INFRASTRUCTURE CABLING DADO TRUNKING SUPPLY LIGHTING

Hospital rooms are supplied via a flexible busbar with a high core cross section, which ensures streamlined structures in the installation level of the corridor area.

Thanks to the pluggable design of the entire lighting system, any component can be replaced fast, easily and safely in the event of a fault.

The spacesaving use of gesis® NRG flat cables in the patient bar enables a pluggable installation throughout for maximum flexibility.

SOLUTIONS FOR HOSPITALS.

DECENTRALIZED ROOM AUTOMATION

The decentralized, modular components can be mounted directly and without any additional housing, saving installation space in the local subdistribution boards.

ADVANTAGES • Fast, easy, and safe installation

• High functional reliability and error prevention due to coded plug system

• Minimal downtime

• High flexibility with changes of use

SOLUTIONS • Industrially prefabricated components

• Directly pluggable end consumers

• Set solutions for simple logistics

• Easy to plug together on site

REQUIREMENTS • Fast, easy, and safe installation

• Easy maintenance and quick replacement of faulty components

• High flexibility for changes / extensions

SOLUTIONS FOR NURSING HOMES.

INFRASTRUCTURE CABLING LIGHTING MOTION DETECTOR

Rooms and residential units are supplied via a flexible busbar with a high core cross section, which ensures streamlined structures in the installation level of the corridor area.

Motion detectors are plugged into the room automation. They save energy by regulating the lighting as it is needed. The analysis of motion data supplies information to optimize the use of the property.

The dimmable luminaires are connected to the power + DALI networks using a pluggable 5pole system. Extensions and modifications can therefore be realized quickly and easily by replugging.

INSTALLATION CONCEPTS.

Structured energy distribution for supply to rooms

Pluggable from the power supply to the luminaire

Our gesis® NRG 5G10 mm² flat cable brings energy areawide into space using clear structures. There is no need for any laborious cutting, baring, stripping, and clamping of cables with our system which can also be loaded with up to 50 A as a 3phase system. Required safety devices for the output adapter and connection cable are realized in a system distributor which we can also deliver with a connection cable already connected and preassembled to a flat cable adapter.

The entire system is designed to be directly pluggable with our gesis® CLASSIC system. As a result, there is no need to open the devices or to cut, bare, strip, and clamp the cables, which greatly reduces the installation time. This also means that our high industrial manufacturing standard is maintained on site.

ROOM CABLING (WITH SWITCHING FUNCTION)

OPTION

In the corresponding design with decentralized fuse protection, the gesis® NRG 5G10 mm² flat cable can also be used to supply floor boxes.

OPTION

Switches and buttons for local operation can be integrated via switch distribution blocks.

Regulated, DALI

Reduction of the space required in utility rooms

DALI luminaires, for example, are extremely easy to connect using gesis® NRG combined with gesis® CLASSIC. There is no need to open the luminaires or to cut, bare, strip, and clamp the cables, which greatly reduces the installation time. This also means that our high industrial manufacturing standard is maintained on site. This allows a flexible choice of connection technology for the luminaires.

Decentralized assembly of gesis® FLEX KNX room automation saves space in utility rooms. The instantly available manual control level of the gesis® FLEX modules creates clear interfaces between the various assembly sections. Necessary adjustments or changes are implemented in a pluggable and modular manner. Ideally, the system is supplied via a 7pole gesis® NRG flat cable which provides both threephase power supply and KNX network.

LIGHTING CABLING

DECENTRALIZED ROOM AUTOMATION (KNX)

OPTION

For applications with long cable lengths, a 7pole gesis® NRG flat cable is also available for combining threephase power supply and dimming signal.

OPTION

Use of a 7pole flat cable to supply the modules leads to a clear installation structure.
