Platinum PlazaA Commercial-Cum-Residential Building
1. Location of building: Mata Mandir- Jain Mandir Road, South TT Nagar, TT Nagar, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
Bhopal, capital of Madhya Pradesh combines scenic beauty, historicity and modern urban planning. It is situated on the site of an 11th century city, Bhojapal, founded by Raja Bhoja. Bhopal is one of the six cities chosen to have an All India Institute of Medical Sciences campus apart from Delhi. Few state capitals in India have a history as eventful as Bhopal. The city of Bhopal has witnessed many changes since it was found by the Afghan soldier Dost Mohammed in the year 1708. The city has been through many phases, gentle as well as turbulent, prosperous as well as disastrous. Bhopal has been a city in which one finds traces of cultures as different as those of Buddhists, Hindus, Moguals and Afghans, all of which have been blended to perfection, providing Bhopal a distinct identity.
2. Type of Building: Commercial -cum-Residential Plaza. The first biggest building in Bhopal, build by JMC Projects India Ltd.

Strenth of Building: Domical structure on two side of structure makes it unique in locality. That is
why it is a landmark. Its separate service road attracts people to come to shop, but due to no other
shops nearby, this may not be called shopping complex. Structure is on column.
“Space and light and order, those are the things that men need just as much as they need bread or a place to sleep.” - Le Corbusier
There is proper lightening and ventilation at every corner of the structure. Use of Arches and Domes makes structure strong.
Weakness of building: “Architecture should speak of its time and place, but yearn for timelessness.”
-Frank Gehry
I think, this structure doesn’t speak about its time but speaks about place i.e.; Bhopal have such type history of Raja Bhoja’ construction, but not of arches and domes.
4
Building is not in pouch area, crowded area or area having such attractive activities around like M.P. Nagar and New Market.
