Igloos

Building an igloo in Cape Dorset An igloo is a dome shaped house built out of blocks

of snow by the Inuit's or Eskimo people., Igloo is the Inuit word for a house or home built out of any material, and is not restricted only to snow houses, but includes traditional tents, sod houses, homes constructed of driftwood and modern buildings. Outside of Inuit society, however, "igloo" refers exclusively to shelters constructed out of blocks of compacted snow, generally in the form of a dome.

Chinese houses

Chinese houses are very beautiful they have lots of detail and often look ancient. Pre-modern Chinese homes held much in common among both rich and poor Chinese people; they used similar techniques, such as layers of pounded earth, timber framing and brick and tiles.

STILT HOUSES

YOU WOULD FIND STILT HOUSES ARE MAINLY IN THE MORE TROPICAL PLACES THIS IS BECAUSE THE WATER FLOWS RIGHT OVER THE SAND AND THE STILTS KEEP THE HOUSES UP HIGH SO THEY DON’T GET DAMAGED FROM THE WATER FLOWING THROUGH.

MUD HOUSES Mud houses are

constructed in very hot places, so the mud hardens quickly. It is made using soil, mud, rocks and clay. If it rains the mud weakens and could collapse and they would have to build it again and again.
