These Snowman Book Reports are a perfect winter activity for your readers! And it’s quite simple on the teacher’s end as well. Just print and go! Students will design the snowman to reflect one of the main characters in their book. Then, they will write different story information on the snowballs. Attach the snowman to a standard sized lunch bag, and place the snowballs inside. Use the rubric for easy assessment. Once finished, you can use the final products as a great bulletin board display. 1. Read your book – don’t wait until the last minute!

2. Design your snowman as one of the main characters in your book. You can draw

on your snowman template or add cut out shapes from construction/colored

paper (think about what accessories or objects that your character would have

with him/her).

3. Fill out each of the snowballs with information from your book. Make sure to give

specific details.

4. Glue your snowman to a paper lunch bag. Make sure that the head of the

snowman is closest to the top of the bag!

5. Place your snowballs inside your paper bag.

6. Write your book title on the front of the paper bag.

7. Write your name on the back of your paper bag and on the back of each of

your snowballs.
