    The Bualo River Restoration PartnershipIntroductionDecades o industrial and municipal discharges have polluted the river, and the subsequent decline

    o industry le t the region with abandoned, contaminated properties and deteriorating acilities.

    The Bualo River restoration partnership is poised to address these environmental challenges so

    that the Bualo River can once again add to a vibrant revitalized Bualo.

    The Bualo River restoration partners, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency,

    Bualo Niagara RIVERKEEPER (BNR), Honeywell, New York State Department o Environmental

    Conservation (NYSDEC), and the United States Army Corps o Engineers (USACE) have been

    collaborating or several years on plans to clean up the Bualo River to acilitate ecological

    restoration and economic development around this natural urban resource.
