Examples:Birthday,holidays

EXAMPLE

If your aunt writes you a check for $10 for your birthday, you would bring the check to the credit union or the bank to cash it. Cashing a check means that you receive the dollars and cents that are written on the check.

The credit union or bank will take the money out of your aunt’s checking account and give it to you.
