Ready....Set....Spring!According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, the

official (meteorologic) spring season always

begins on March 1. We'll take it! (Although

astronomically speaking the spring equinox

falls on March 20 this year.) Even with snow

on the ground it does feel like spring with

these high temperatures and sunny days.

Spring is a season of renewal, rebirth, and

fresh starts. Do you need a fresh start for your outdoor spaces? Or just a little help

Linda's Garden Center TipThe Garden Center will open March 1st for what will

hopefully be a spectacular growing season with just

the right amount of moisture...it can happen! Our

hours are Monday - Saturday, 10am - 3pm (weather

permitting).

March is a great time to begin cleaning up our

gardens... in between our inevitable snowfalls. Some

chores that can be done now include raking and

disposing of pine needles, prepping areas for wildflower seed (and sowing them right

before a snowfall), and starting vegetable seeds indoors. Don't forget to spray

emerging spring bulbs with animal repellant.
