HOW DOES IT WORK?The idea is based on the skin’s ability to repair itself whenever it encounters physical damage. In this case, thousands of micro wounds are created in the skin by highly precise, sterile needles. Immediately after the injury occurs the skin disperses old damaged connective tissue and replaces it with the new. Rejuvapen micro needling allows for controlled induction of the skin’s self-repair mechanism by creating micro “injuries” in the skin which triggers new collagen synthesis yet does not pose the risk of permanent scarring. The result is smoother, firmer and younger looking skin and fainter scars/stretchmarks.

WHO WILL BENEFIT?People concerned about fine lines, wrinkles, scarring including acne scarring and mild vascular rosacea. Clients who undergo a course of treatment report a 60%-80% improvement in their skin.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT?Prior to any treatment a full consultation with your therapist will take place to determine your suitability, needs and expectations. The whole treatment takes around 45-60 minutes plus additional time for topical anesthetic which is used to numb the skin and ensures you are comfortable during the treatment.

After your skin is numbed the therapist will gently move the Rejuvapen over your skin to puncture the epidermis layers of the skin and create minute sub-cutaneous injuries. These microscopic wounds close within 3-5 minutes, but that’s enough to stimulate new collagen deposition which may last for up to a year. You may experience some slight discomfort, particularly around the sensitive areas of your face such as around the eyes and nose.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE TREATMENT?The treatment will commence with a thorough consultation and application of topical anesthetic which takes approximately 35 minutes to work. The therapist will then remove all the traces of anesthetic from the skin. Your therapist will then commence Rejuvapen treatment over your skin targeting all your concerns. A hydrating and repairing serum and cream will then be applied followed by a protective Sun cream.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS SHOULD I HAVE?Each client is different and so are their needs so each micro needling course is different. Treatments should be once every 6 weeks for 4-6 months. You can expect to continue seeing results for up to 6-8 months after the last treatment as your skins’ matrix regrows new collagen.

WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS?After the treatment your skin will show signs of redness and will appear similar to mild sunburn and there may be some slight swelling. This will begin to subside between 24-48 hours after treatment. During the first 3 days you will experience some tightness, dryness and mild sensitivity to touch in some areas.

WHAT AFTERCARE WILL I NEED TO FOLLOW?Your therapist will advise you of a rescue skincare routine to help soothe and protect the skin and enhance the results. We also recommend use of a sun cream every day. We advise you not to wear makeup for 2-3 days.

Shrinking Violet Body Wrap

Cancellation PolicyAs a courtesy to clients on our waiting list we kindly ask you to give us at least 24hrs notice for any amendments or cancellation of your booking. A 50% cancellation fee will become payable for less than 24hrs notice and 100% if cancelled on the day.

ConsultationsAll new clients will be required to fill in a consultation card. This information is completely confidential and is covered by the Data Protection Act.

Bank HolidaysSome of our salons are open on occasions, please check with the relevant salon nearer the time.

Children As we provide a quiet and relaxing atmosphere at Lavender and Stone Beauty Rooms we do ask that you do not bring children under the age of 16 into the salon unless booked in for a treatment.

Mobile PhonesFor the comfort of other clients we request that you either switch off or put your mobile phone onto silent.

Medical InformationPlease make us aware of any relevant information at the time of booking as some treatments may be unsuitable or require adjusting. If you have any past or present cancers, we require a written letter from your doctor. Our policy is based on the health and well-being of our clients. This was devised following comprehensive consultation and research with a number of associated bodies. The aim is to protect our clients from any unforeseen reactions during and following their treatments. We also feel strongly that our team of therapists are not medically trained to make a decision on whether it is safe to treat clients with cancer. If you have not received radiotherapy or chemotherapy in the past 3 years and you are not on any medication and have been given the all clear you are able to have any treatments with us.

PregnancyWithin your first tri-mester only maintenance treatments are suitable. Thereafter we recommend you experience our mother to be treatments.

DepositA 50% deposit will apply to bookings over 90 minutes or £100.

Arrival TimeTo ensure you receive the full treatment time we recommend you arrive 10 minutes prior to your treatment, this will give you time to fill in your consultation form and relax. We understand that things can happen on the day that cause you to run late but as we run on an appointment basis it is necessary for us to finish your appointment on time so that we don’t run into the next client’s appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late your appointment will be treated as a cancellation. We will send you a reminder text 24 hours prior to your appointment so please provide us with your details when booking.

Treatment DurationAll times quoted include consultation, preparation time, treatment and vacation of the room.

Treatments and PricesChanges may be made without prior notice. All treatments include VAT at the current rate.

CoursesAll monies paid for courses are non-refunda-ble although the balance may be transferred to other treatments.
