The necessity of rehabilitation it was because of existing situation, which is characterization from an advanced grade of silting, a bad quality of water from chemical and biological point of view, from accentuation of eutrophization phenomena and uncontrolled waste deposit.

The major objective of the project it is the ecologic of five of most important lakes of Bucharest in view to consolidation the touristy potential of those and to attract a new investment and tourists.
