    As a key event of the 2019 EUSDR Presidency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, the European

    Commission and the Danube Transnational Programme are jointly organizing the 8th Annual Forum on

    the 27th – 28th of June 2019 in Bucharest under the motto: “Building cohesion for a shared prosperity in

    the Danube Region”.

    The event is organized with the technical support of the Danube Strategy Point. The 2019 EUSDR Annual

    Forum agenda will focus on competitiveness, connectivity and regional mobility, as well as on links

    between Macro-regional Strategies and Cohesion and also on the possibilities of creating synergies that

    can result in a better embedment of EUSDR into future EU programs and policies.

    26th-28th of June 2019

    Organized by the Ministry for the Business Environment, Trade and Entrepreneurship (MBCCE), in

    partnership with the Ministry of Economy of Romania. The Romanian Ministry for Business

    Environment, Trade and Entrepreneurship will also organize, all throughout the duration of this event,

    an exhibition dedicated to best practices & success stories of transnational cooperation in the Danube

    Region.

    The objective of this workshop is to showcase the cooperation between the DTP and EUSDR

    stakeholders within the DTP capitalisation process. The workshop will consist of 3 distinct sessions with

    the aim to describe, in a holistic manner, how the DTP Capitalisation Strategy and the EUSDR serve

    each other for their respective benefits. One of the sessions will be dedicated to cooperation with

    other financing instruments, within the framework of the DTP Capitalisation Strategy.

    Session 1: Cooperation of DTP TPs with EUSDR PACs (best practice - cooperation between

    Thematic Pole (TBD) and PAC (TBD) )

    Session 2: Contribution of DTP projects to EUSDR targets (best practice - cooperation between

    Thematic Pole (TBD) and PAC (TBD) )

    Session 3: Cooperation between DTP projects and convergent and complementary projects

    funded by other programmes (best practice – Thematic Pole (TBD)

    Target groups: main DTP and EUSDR stakeholders (DTP project partners, PACs, Steering Group

    members), interest groups including NGOs, research and development institutions, universities,

    education/training centres and other relevant actors in the field of Thematic Poles of DTP

    Capitalisation Strategy.

    This workshop offers the opportunity for Civil Society, any actors and promoters of activities, projects

    and processes to make their proposals for actions to be integrated into the Action Plan. This event will

    be interactive and participants will be encouraged to offer feedback and react on the discussions.

    Thursday, 27 June, 9:00 - 13:30

    Venue: Bucharest, the Palace of the Parliament

    This workshop is organized by Priority Area 8 Coordinators from Baden Wurttemberg and Croatia. The

    side-event shall shed some lights on good practices how cluster initiatives and regions in the Danube

    Region successfully worked together to jointly support regional transformation and strengthening

    competitiveness of firms. Attention shall be given on key success factors of the interplay between

    both, what are the tasks and responsibilities between cluster initiatives and regional developers and

    how this kind of cooperation shall be facilitated in the post-2020 ERDF area.

    Venue: Bucharest, at the premises of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration of Romania

    Within the margins of the Forum, the 18th meeting of the coordination committee / Steering Group of

    the PA3, organized by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration of Romania and

    BG Coordinator of PA3, will also take place. PA3, jointly coordinated by RO and BG is one of the most

    successful PA of EUSDR. Once we have managed to jointly identify future common lines of action and

    managed to acquire/the political commitment needed our ideas into operational policies and

    measures, a look into the future will offer a longer term improvement of the Danube Region, as well as

    increased cohesion and better alignment of EUSDR to EU policies in the post2020 framework.

    The Office of the Lower Austrian Provincial Government proposed organizing the event “Working

    Community of the Danube Regions“ (ARGE Donauländer), back to back with the 8th Edition of the

    Annual Forum of the EUSRD. The aim of the side event is to highlight the opportunities for

    strengthening the regional level through the work of the Working Community of the Danube Regions,

    showing its added value for the Danube region and also presenting some best practice examples for

    cooperation in the region.

    Date: 26 or 28 of June 2019 (TBC)

    Venue: Bucharest, the Palace of the Parliament. Event allowing a best practices exchange within PA 8

    (tba). The workshop will be organized by PA 8 Coordinators (Baden Wurttemberg and Croatia).
