Title: Bubbling Lava Lamp
Introduction
Ever wonder how a lava lamp works? All that light and slow motion liquid is so mesmerizing you may think it is magic, but really, it is science. When you understand the science behind it, it is easy to make your own lava lamp. With the Bubbling Lava Lamp, you will learn how to make a homemade, kid-safe lava lamp using materials right in your home. By using a plastic bottle, oil, water, and a fizzy tablet, you can make the whole thing fizz and bubble, and you will have a colourful lava lamp. Today, I am standing here to talk about bubbling lava lamp. I will start by describing the materials we need, the procedures to make lava lamp and how does the lava lamp works.
Body/Content
1. The materials that we need to make Lava Lamp
Plastic bottle, water, vegetable oil, food colouring, fizzy tablets, flashlight.
2. The procedures of making Lava Lamp
Fill the bottle 3/4 full with water.
Add few drops of food colouring
Fill the rest of the bottle with vegetable oil.
Divide the fizzy tablet into few pieces.
Drop one of the tiny pieces of fizzy tablet into the oil and water mixture.
3. How does Lava Lamp Works?
Oil has a lower density compared to water, it floats above the water which has a higher density.
The fizzy tablet reacts with water to produce tiny bubbles of carbon dioxide gas.
These bubbles attach themselves to the blobs of coloured water and cause them to float to the surface.
The colour blobs get heavy and sink back to the bottom of the bottle.
Conclusion
In a nutshell, this homemade Lava Lamp makes a great science project or even just a fun experiment to do with family or even friends. We can learn how to make an easy lava lamp by using simple household items such as vegetable oil, food colouring, fizzy tablet and plastic bottle to create chemical reactions and blobs of coloured water that move around like a real lava lamp.

Today, I am standing here to talk about bubbling lava lamp. I will start by describing the materials we need, the procedures to make lava lamp and finally how does the lava lamp works.
If you want to get better effect, put the bottle on a flashlight and turn the room lights off.
It does this over and over again until the tablet is completely dissolved. That is why a burst of colour is formed.
