The APFB promotes bilateral business and scientific and cultural relations between Germany and Asia-Pacific countries. In the organizational structure of the APFB, Dr. Dr. Mahmood is President of the Pakistan Forum, which actively fosters German-Pakistani business, trade, investment, and cultural relations. In this function he has provided his services to both German and Pakistani companies and business associations in organizing Business Days in Berlin with high-level delegations from the corporate and political world. He has also accompanied German investment delegations to Pakistan, engaged in B2B events and assisted companies in conducting market studies on investment opportunities in Pakistan. One of his major accomplishments as President of Pakistan Forum of APFB has been to locate suitable German-Pakistani Joint Venture partners. During the last fifteen years, Dr. Dr. Mahmood acquired a high-profile network in the German and Pakistani business and political arenas.

Professionally, Dr. Dr. Mahmood is working as a Senior Fellow at the largest European think tank, the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB).
