    The studies may be coed to a liguistic pheomeo i the

    history of oe laguage or be comparative. They may be from ay

    area of historical l iguistics, provided that they show a progress

    from the state-of-the-art.

    to scholars workig o both well-kow ad well-documeted laguages ad laguage families

    ad to scholars doig historical-comparative research o less-documeted laguages or laguage

    families.

    utilize la rge computerized corpora ad more advaced computatioal methods, plus iovativetheoretical approaches to la guage chage, such as diachroic typology, diachroic costructio

    grammar, statist ical phylogeetic methods, ad other applicatios of moder approaches ad
