(i) Written Examination:There will be three papcrs in written test as pcr details givcn belou'.Admission for the written examination will be purely on production of callletter issued to the eligible candidates by the Nodal Agency and Forcc identityCard ofthe candidates. Since this examination is purely for CAPFs pcrsonnel,all candidates shall be in proper uniform.

Paper-l (Intelligence Test and Gencral knowledge)(Time 2 hours- 100 Mrrks & 100 Questions)This will include Cencral Awareness, General Intelligcncc, Reasoning,Numerical Ability, Cunent llvents, Matters of every day observation andexperience. This paper would be objective typc (Multiple choicc questionsin English and Hitrdi)

Paper-fl(Professional Skill)(Time 2 hours- 100 Morks & 100 Questions)This will be designed to test prof'essional skills of the candidate in relation tooperational and administrative requirement of the Force of which he is a

member. 'Ihis paper would also be objective type (Multiple choicc questionsin English and Hindi).

Paper-III (Essay, Pr6cis Writing and Comprchension)(Time 2 hours- 100 Marks)The medium of writing of essay may be opted by the candidate as Hindi orEnglish. However, medium of writing precis and comprehension will beEnglish.

Nglel Qualifying marks will be 45%o in each paper and 5002 in aggrcgatc.However, qualirying marks for SC/ST candidates will be 40% in each paperand 457o in aggregate.

Phvsical Standrrd Test (PST) end Physical Erliciency Test(PET)i

The candidates who qualiry in Paper-l & II (Written examination) willonly bccalled for Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) bythe Nodal Agency at one lraining centre of any CAPFS by comprising a

Board of Officcrs by the Nodal Agency. Physical Standard Test (PS'l) andPhysical Effrciency Test (PET) will be qualirying in nature but bi!g1e..li!_4!yggglyg4llof lhis tcst will amounl to disqualification. Physical Efficicncy Testshall comprise the following evcntsr-

Candidates who qualiS in the written examination and secure requiredaggregate percentage of marks in written examination i.e. Paper-I, Paper-IIand Paper-III as well as quali$ Physical Standard Test and PhysicalEmciency Test would be called for interview by the Nodal Agency. Theinterview will carry 100 Marks and the break-up of Interview will be as

Thcrc would also bc a provision forRight to Appeal as per cxisting guidelines.

(r') Merit ListOn completion of above process, CAPFS shall forward thc list of "MedicallyFit" candidates to Nodal Agency for preparing final merit list of the

candidates separately for each Force category-wise on the basis of aggregatemarks obtained in wriftcn examination and interview. The list of finallyselected candidates (Force-wise) would be sent to respective CAPFSDirectorates General by the Nodal Agency for issuance of Offer ofAppointment.

(vi) Tie Principle:In case two or more candidates havc secured equal aggregate marks, thc tie(s)will be resolved in accordance with the principles follows:-(a) If the marks in aggregate are equal. the candidate getting more marks in

Written Total will be ranked higher.(b) If the marks in written total are equal, the candidate getting more marks in

paper-I and Paper-II will be ranked higher.(c) Ifthe marks in PaperJ and Pap€r-II are also equal, the candidate senior in

age will be ranked higher.Training:The selected candidates shall undcrgo training at the training centre of respcctiveForces and they will remain on probation for a period of lwo years as per recruitmentrules for the post ofAssistant Commandant (GD).

(iD The applicatioD will be sent by th€ csndidates through aheir respectivcDirectorate General. The applications rcceived will be serially entered in aregister in the chronological order of receipt by respective CAPFS. Thescreening of applic.tiotrs will be carried out by the concertred CAPFSDirectorrte strictly rs per the eligibility conditions. Applications will bcsuppo(ed by proof of thc Date of Birth, Educational Qualifications,Caste/Tribal Cenificate issued by the Competent Authorities, ServiceCertificate of completing four years clean service after verification/ checkingof service records, APARS and Disciplinary/Vigilance clearanceCedificate/SHAPEI Medical Category. The applications received after duedate fixed for receiving or those found incomplete in any manner will berejected after duly recording the reasons for rejection in the register againstthe name of applicant. No direct correspondence by the candidates, in thisregard will be made with thc Nodal Agency. The Directorate of eech Forceshall further send the list of eligiblc cendidates rlotrg with their admitcards and oDe self sddressed stamped envelopc of Rs. 25l- of thecandidrtes to the Nodal Force for rllotmcnt of Roll Numbers snddispatch of admit crrds.

(iii) The candidates ofall the CAPFS shall apply in the prescribed format attachedas Appendix- 'A' with Notification and their applications duly complete in allrespect should reach their concemed Directorate General/office by 23 June2016. The concemed Directorate Gencral of all CAPFs shall accordinglycollect applications from eligible, willing candidates of their Organization,consolidate them and constitute a Board of Olncers to scrutinize theapplications as per checklist (Specimen copy enclosed) and forward the list ofeligible candidates along with their Admit Cards to Commrndant(Recruitment), Directorate General, BSF, Block No. 10, CGO Complcx,Lodi Road, New Dclhi-110003 on or before ll July 2016. BoardProceedings along with individual-wise Reciuitmeot Dossier, cortaining allthe pspcrs ircluding ACRS/APARS and NOC duly tsgged should beprepared and retained by concerned CAPFs.

(iv) Applicstions received after 23 Jutre 2016 will not bc considered under anycircumstances.

(v) Candidates must send the following documents with his/her applicationto concemed Directorate Generali

(vii) Candidates are not required to submit any original certificates in support oftheir claims regarding educational qualifications and other relevant certificatesand will submil only self attested and anested true copies as mentioned atpara-I2(v) with their application. Ifon verification at later stage, it is foundthat any candidate does not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions; his/hercandidaMe shall be liable for rejcction.

(viii) The applications of the eligible candidates received through proper channelwill be assigned Roll Numbers by the Nodal Agency i.e. Commandant(Recruitment), Directoratc General, BSF, Blcok-lo, CGO Complex LodhiRoa4 New Delhi-l10003. They will be communicated through call lefters roappear in w tten test.

(ix) Admission card for the written examination indicating time-table for theexamination and also venue of the examination will be issued to eachcandidate by Nodal Agency through respective CAPFs HQrs. Ifany candidatcdoes not receive intimation, he/she may contact concemed CAPFs Hqrs andno personal enqui4/ will be accepted by the Nodal Agency.

(x) Any change/notice in recruitment process will only be uploaded on BSliwebsite i.e. www.bsflnic.in Hence candidates in their own inlerest ar€ advisedto visit BSF website for latest updates of this requitment under menu>Recruiunent> time to time.

Cetrtre of Examinrtion:

Date and Time of written examination, Physical Standard Test(PST), PhysicalElliciency Test (PET) and inlerview will be intimated to the candidate byRecruitment Cell, Directorate General, BSF, Block. 10, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road.New Delhi-l10003. The candidates are required to bring all their testimonials inoriginal at the time ofinterview.
