BS 103Turbo Product Information 01.04.2014
• Apply up 3mm to 15mm in one pour • Single part, no additives required • Suitable for use over vinyl, timber, chipboard • Foot traffic after 30 minutes • Install coverings after 60-90 minutes • Highly Shrinkage compensated Description For smoothing screeds and a variety of floor surfaces & finishes. The high polymer content makes BS 103 Turbo the ideal choice for preparing a surface prior to the installation of a new floor covering. BS 103 Turbo is suitable for use on all common substrates including; sand/cement screeds, concrete, ceramic, quarry and natural stones, timber, vinyl coverings & under floor heating. Due to the strength of formulation, BS 103 Turbo can be applied to a depth of 3mm to 15mm in one application. . Properties Casein/protein free. Blend of special fondu cement with selected additives, self-levelling, fast setting and drying at any thickness. BS 103 Turbo dries quickly with very low shrinkage tension. Set to foot traffic in approximately 30 minutes. Can be used in very heavy traffic areas including heavy wheeled traffic.
Substrates The substrate must be free from structural defects, sound i.e. of adequate compressive and tensile strength, permanently dry and free from laitance, dust, surface treatments or contamination, which would impair the bond of the BSDL product(s). It may be necessary to mechanically prepare the surface of the substrate by grinding / sanding and vacuuming.
Application Mix by adding powder to water, 6 litres of water to 25kg of BS 103 Turbo. Do not exceed 6 litres of water. Exceeding 6 litres of water per unit will result in polymer bleed and therefore extended drying times and a weakened mix. Mix ideally with an electric paddle until you obtain a lump free mix similar in consistency to single cream. When mixed allow to stand for 1 minutes and stir again before application. Use within 5 – 10 minutes of first mixing. Pour a small quantity onto the prepared surface and trowel down lightly. BS 103 Turbo will start to cure 20-30 minutes after application. The successive laying of coverings is possible after drying (60-90 minutes depending on the ambient temperature and humidity).
